The spotlight is on for Lynn Yen!

Me1

Hi I'm from Sunny Singapore and my name is Lynn Yen.
I've just graduated with a psychology degree and I'm currently a teacher to many wonderful kids.
My students, family and boyfriend are the motivating factors behind my passion for scrapbooking.
I love scrapbooking so much that my boyfriend's complaining that I'm one day going to dump him for papers!

I've been scrapping for a year and I was initially overwhelmed by the huge variety of brands in the market.
When I was introduced to Graphic 45 papers, I was stunned. They are so beautiful that they bag most of my budget all the time!
My favourite collection is Baby 2 Bride as it is vintage and romantic!
I distress and ink a lot and I love to add details such as gems, tiny roses and vintage trinkets in my projects.
Besides layouts, I love to use G45 papers in altering items as gifts.
They make the perfect match for the prima roses which are a constant staple in my craft.

I can never feel more honoured than to be featured here at my favourite blog!
I'm looking forward to get my hands on the new collections and I'm really grateful for the chance to be featured here!

You can visit me at my blog: www.lvoenote.blogspot.com
God bless! :)

Today's Spotlight is on Kristie Bentley!

Kristie's style is often colorful and funky!  She also a fabulous painter which a lot of people don't know!  Today she is showing us how she used Graphic 45's "Fashionista" line in her lo's.  Hope you enjoy her work.  Here is what Kristie had to say:  "Hello all from the Bluegrass State! My name is Kristie Bentley, and I am a 29 year old wife and mother of one, Bryce.  I love to scrap, paint, draw, and scrap some more. My son, Bryce, is my inspiration for art; however, I can be inspired by billboards, clothing tags, or even coffee mugs!  I love documenting the lives of my family through scrapbooking. I tend to use a lot of bold, loud colors to get the most outrageous and funky effect in my layouts.  I love to do the hybrid technique, textures, lots of layers, cut outs, and embellishments on my pages.  When I stumbled across the Graphic 45 Transatlantic and Fashionista Collection, I was instantly a huge fan of this company, and I am SO HONORED to be featured!!"Kristie bentley

So grateful pg1

Hidden journaling reads: " Ever since I have been diagnosed with cancer, I see things in a different light, and I am so grateful that it was treatable and caught early. God gave me a gift of 86,400 seconds per day. and I plan on using most of that time to say "thank you!" So grateful pg 2 Love, live laugh

Wednesday's Sketch

Th_2007_01_January_OnePageSketch

Design team member Jing-Jing Nickel gives you here interpretation of today's sketch. She aslo made a comment about her lo: "Have you noticed how well the various collections of Graphic 45 can work together? In this layout, I wanted to go for an overall green color. Second Child was wearing green, the grass was green, and the apple too, was green.  I used three sheets of green paper from three collections, Times Nouveau, Botanicabella, and Playtime Past. I also glimmer misted the Tattered Angels' frame with Lime Green mist. Well, sorry Kermit, but it's easy to be green! :)"

Get to know our Design Team!!

Candypicture0709

Today is get to know Candy Rosenberg!  We put together a little questionnaire for the girls, and here is what Candy had to say:

How long have you been scrapbooking?
Actual scrapbooking has now been 4 1/2 years.  I have been paper crafting since I was born, my mom says that I was born with scissors in my hand.  That must have hurt!

Why did you get started?  My dear friend, Debbie was working on her sons scout scrapbooks, and I would watch what she was doing.  I did not get interested in it at first until my own son was getting ready to Eagle in the scout troop.  Let's just say the rest is history.

What is your favorite scrapbooking tool?  My honeybee scissors for sure.   A pair a scissors and some glue and I can rule the world.

Who do you scrapbook about most?  Events, my girls and everyday stuff, like gas prices.  With my daughter being a photographer I have an endless supply of pictures.

If you were on a reality tv show, which one would it be and why?  It would most definetly be "The Apprentice", I would so whoop butt on that show.

What is your beverage of choice while scrapbooking?  I am usually too involved in what I am doing to worry about drinking anything.  But if I think about it is usually a diet Dr. Pepper.

What is the most fun place you've ever traveled to, and why was it your fave? I traveled a lot when I was young but not much since.  I like to travel to the ocean as much as possible and look forward to hitting the CHA show in Orlando, Florida in July!

What was your favorite childhood food?  My moms goulash!  Mashed tatos, hamburger and corn all mixed together.

What is the best concert you've ever been to?  This is an interesting question considering in "my day" I attended over 200 concerts.  The one that sticks out the most was for a band I did not even listen to; not even my style.  I was dragged along and it was the best concert I had ever gone to.  It was the  Grateful Dead in 1991.  OMG, OMG, OMG, hanging out in the parking lot was more fun that going into the concert.  Especially when I was used to coming out of rock concerts beat up and bloody.  The concert was so mellow and cool.  Such an awesome experience hanging out with Dead Heads and I got to go backstage plus sit on the stack of speakers on the stage!

What is the craziest thing you've ever done? Uhmmmm, can’t tell.  Plus I would be here all day writing as it is a very long story!

Visit Candys Blog to see what she is up to.
