Add Some Fun Embellishments to Your Projects!

Today design team member Emeline Seet shows us a fantastic way to use up those Graphic 45 scraps.

Tutorial :

I”m sure there are times where we have left over papers , and not knowing what to do with them.

Here, I used a simple way to use up the left overs to create easy-to-make paper coils to further embellish your projects .

Supplies :

Strips of Paper (around 4 mm wide and 15 cm long)

Liquid Glue

Clothes Peg

  1. Roll the strips into tight circles, ensuring that each circle is flat.

  2. Apply liquid glue at the end of the strip and allow to dry. Use clothes peg to secure.

  3. The possibilities with these little coiled strips are endless !You can use if for borders, flower centres etc on your altered art, layouts or cards !

Here, i used cut out flowers from Graphic 45 (Quilting Bee from Domestic Goddess collection) and used coiled strips as flower centers to alter a mini tin to store sewing nick knacks. Since it has a sewing themed tin, i further used snaps to embellish the tin. It gives a fine bling as well !

Have fun with your Graphic 45 Papers !

How brilliant and adorable Em!

Great tutorial...so simple!

I have to admit, while I find your papers absolutely stunning, they really are a challenge for me!! I've been inspired by the projects here, though, so thought I'd give them a bash....hope you like!!
