Graphic 45 and Tattered Angels with Design Team Member Susan Lui

We have several projects today from Susan.  You are just going to love all of the different things she has done using Graphic 45 and My Tattered Angels products.  Below Susan gives a little tutorial for each of her projects.

"Christmas Joy" - altered item

I altered a little twig wreath to create this cheerful hanging Christmas decor, using papers from the Christmas Past collection - The Holly and the Ivy, Ode to Joy and Deck The Halls. Don't you just love the little cherubs from the Ode to Joy patterned paper? I cut them out, then added a little stickle to their feathers to give them a little touch of glitter. Glimmer mist was applied liberally to the twigs, corrugated cardboard and lace trim. To complete the decor, I added the beautiful stamped butterfly from My Tattered Angels, a Prima poinsettia, a skirting of lace and two ribbon tassels.

  "Owl" - card

A fun card featuring papers from Renaissance Faire teamed up with misted corrugated paper and a branch hand cut from corrugated paper. The lovely chip owl is from Tattered Angels. The corrugated backing paper and the twig were generously misted in Suede, Coffee Shop, Sunflower, Olive Vine and Golden Terracotta.

 "Walking Sunshine" - layout

Here's another nature-themed layout from me, using papers from Renaissance Faire. I love the versatility of Graphic 45 papers. You never have to take them at face value because a Renaissance style paper can be used to great effect on nature themed layouts too. Papers used on this layout are Awakening, Triumphant, and both sides of Florentine. A misting of some tree glimmer screens from Tattered Angels in four complementary shades of green and a chipboard butterfly misted in a sun-burnt golden hue complete the layout.

"Central Park" - layout

I  love the festive greens and reds of Graphic 45's Christmas Past papers so I decided to create my own background using coordinating glimmer mists from My Tattered Angels. I used three glimmer mists on this layout - English Ivy, Burnt Red and Olive Vine, which went beautifully with the Glad Tidings and The Holly and The Ivy papers.

I placed a flourish mask on the cream cardstock and liberally misted the cardstock with the two greens and reds. Then, to add a splash of color, I happily splattered glimmer mist all over the background, creating a carefree cheery background. When the paper was dry, I layered on my Christmas past patterned papers, carelessly torn to match the splattered mists, added some trim, mistletoe and a darling little tag from Graphic 45 and I was done!

Tim Holtz Rocks Some Botanicabella

We love when Tim Holtz is playing with our papers.  Here is a video with Tim using the new Rock Candy (uhm, kind of like that name, I think he luvs me!) Distress Stickles.  I love this product and used it in our last post on the Tattered Tag.

I got a few emails about how to use the Rock Candy stickles, so here is a great video by Tim Holtz.  Watch the whole video, the Botanicabella line is used in the second half.

Would you like to win a bottle of Rock Candy Distress Stickles for yourself?  Then comment on this post by telling us which piece of Graphic45 paper Tim used in the video and you could be randomly chosen by December 10th and WIN!

Happy Crafting!

Tattered Tag

Graphic45_tags

I started out making this technique tag very simple.  Then well...let's just say it is hard for me to do simple.  I first misted over a screen, then added film strip and stamped words.  From there everything is layered and misted throughout with Glimmer Mist.

Here are a few of the items I used to make this 6" x 3" tag:

Graphic45:  Communique Papers
Tattered Angels: Glimmer Mist, Chips and Screens (butterfly)
Tim Holtz: Dimensional Pearls, Film Strip Ribbon, Rock Candy Stickles, Alcohol Ink
Embellishments: Metal corne, dragonfly and coin, ribbon, prima flower, bottle cap
Unity Stamps: stamped words

If you leave us a comment telling us what your favorite piece of Graphic45 paper is, you could win the entire collection.  A winner will be announced by December 5th.

More Inspiration from November Guest Designer Teresa Manchas

First we have this amazing 3-D gift box that Teresa has made.  I love how she used the tree and angels from Graphic 45 "Christmas Past".  Her idea was to make a scene like one that you might see in front of a church at Christmas.  She added the snow and the little fence she made with a punch to give it more character.   She plans to fill the box with yummy chocolates and gift it to a friend for Christmas (lucky friend!).

This lo, titled "the letter", is so beautiful.  I can't begin to tell you how much I love the winter scene that she has created with the fence, tree and snow.  Fabulous work Teresa.

Her next lo in remembrance of an old friend is no less beautiful.  Have you noticed how Teresa makes most of her titles for her lo's?

This final lo uses several lines of paper.  I love that she has mixed "Renaissance Faire", "Botanicabella" and "Communique".  The lo is of her youngest grandson who loves being outdoors.  She used the map paper to represent the world out there; the clock represents "no" time being watched; and the route 66 signs represent the open road.

We love your work Teresa.  You work magic with Graphic 45 papers.  Thank you so much for being our guest designer this month!

Graphic 45 and Tattered Angels with Design Team Member Christie Bryant

Today we have another wonderful lo by Christie using Graphic 45  Christmas Past papers.  She  used colored cardstock with My Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (Silver) and Glimmer Screens (Vintage Ice). She then misted a snowflake background on the blue paper and on the lavender
paper.   Christie  misted snowflakes and then cut them out and decorated them for a layered look.

Graphic 45 and Tattered Angels with Design Team Member Nancy Burke

Today we have a beautiful fall box that Nancy has altered.  For this project she used Graphic 45 "Bona Fide" and "Awakening" papers from the Renaissance Faire collection.  She has also used  My Tattered Angels  "Tiger Lily" Gimmermist to give her box a more "fall-ish" look.   She then finished off the box by adding tags from the same collection, as well as faux berries, raffia, leaves and a walnut.

Thank you Nancy!  This is just the perfect inspiration for a lovely fall display.

These ATC's Sasah made are so cute.  I especially like the ones using the "Domestic Goddess" ladies.  She used My Tattered Angels Glimmer Fonts on her ATC's.

Teresa has made this adorable birdhouse using Graphic 45 papers.  I simply love how it turned out!

Since Teresa is our November guest designer, she also received some My Tattered Angels  products to use this month. Below she has made a notebook using Glimmermists and Glimmer Shapes.  For her misting she combined "Candy Apple Red" and "Coffee Shop" to come up with her own unique shade.

And, below Teresa made a beautiful picture frame using "Renaissance Faire" papers.  I admire how lovely this turned out.

Graphic 45 and Tattered Angels with Design Team Member Stacy Cohen

Today we have two beautiful lo's by Stacy using Graphic 45  Renaissance Faire papers.  She also used various Glimmermists, Glimmer Chips and a Glimmer  Screen by My Tattered Angels.

On the above lo, I love how Stacy used the Glimmer Screen to resemble splashes from the water.  I also love her folded edge border.

You are my world sized

On this lo, Stacy used various Glimmermists to add shine to her flowers.  I really like how she added that beaded border around the edge of her lo.

Thank you Stacy for sharing your beautiful work with us!

Happy Scrapping,
