An Auction for National Lupus Foundation raised over $4,000
On March 24, Maxine Hodges, owner of the Scrapbook Page and Fiskateer of the Year 2009, held a charity crop in Barboursville, WV.
This benefit crop was attended by fiskateers from 5 states . The banquet hall was decorated like an orange camp. A tent and fake campfire was only one of several photo ops! Everyone had fun cropping, eating, and giving out many door prizes.
We then had a charity auction with the benefits going to the National Lupus Foundation of America. We were honored to have two creations that were made with Graphic 45 products from Candy Rosenberg among the items on the auction block.
These items helped us to raise over $4,000.00. The crop is held in honor of my brother in law, Jarrell Bledsoe, who died from this disease in 2007. I like to think even if I can't help him, perhaps it will help to find a cure for this debilitating disease.
Thank you Maxine, for asking Graphic45 to be a part of this event!
Happy Crafting,
Candy Rosenberg

What an amazing time everyone must have had. So great that you all were able to raise so much money.

This touches my heart more than I can ever say...my son was diagnosed with Lupus when he was 13. Can't even begin to explain the road we've traveled. Congrats on the fundraising!!! I believe events like this bring more awareness to Lupus and finding a cure. What a great thing for G45 to be a part of!!

This is fabulous news! My mom has Mixed connective tissue disease which is Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis. It is so wonderful to hear of these events raising money for a disease that doesn't have as much awareness as a lot of others. Thank you!

As someone who lives with lupus I wanted to give you a big hug and thank you. I know how much work goes into organizing things like that so it was so wonderful of you to give of yourself in your time and talents
