Christmas Past 12 x 12 Layout by Gloria Stengel:

Cardstock - Bazzill
Paper - Graphic 45 Christmas Past (We Wish You a Merry Christmas, Deck the Halls, Jolly Old St. Nicholas)
Stickers - Rebbecca Sower Designs (alpha), Graphic45 Staples (journaling block)
Chipboard letters - L'il Davis
Flower - Maya Road
Pins - Maya Road
Glitter - Cat's Pajamas Glitzy German Glass
Ribbon - unknown
Pen - Zig
Other - Vintage postcard
To create the sparkly chipboard word "Santa" for this page, I spread a thin layer of white glue to the L'il Davis chipboard letters, then sprinkled each letter with German glass glitter. This "glitter" is actually crushed glass and not only gives a lot of sparkle and dimension to the layout, but also contributes to the vintage feel. I also added an actual vintage Christmas postcard to the layout.

I have Gyro Gearloose living in my house! It’s my 7-year-old son, of course, and he invents things on a daily basis. Sometimes he draws sketches of his ideas and inventions, once in a while he even tries to build one, but most of his ideas are the ones he blabbers about at the dinner table until his dad and I start developing ulcers in our ears! So, I though I’d make him a little album where he can hide his sketches and scribbled notes, pictures he cuts out from magazines for inspiration, and even a useful mechanical part or two.
The Black Policy Envelope album from the Staples collection turned out to be just perfect for this project. And the Steampunk Debutante collection, of course! Because, that’s about what I imagine my son’s brain would look like had we been living in a Steampunk world – full of gears and gadgets, and other mechanical things.
I also used the fantastic tags that come as packagings for the Staples collection, and bound them into my album. The distance between the holes of the album pages coordinates with those of the Zutter Bind-It-All, so it is really easy to add pages to these albums. I did also change the wire into a slightly wider one while I was at it, because knowing my son, I imagine that this album eventually will be packed with things and thus need a bigger spine.
