A Touch of France: The Stunning Work of Fabien

Good Day to you in Craft Land!

I am so excited about today's featured artist. We came across his work randomly one day and were so thrilled with the high caliber of his projects. Meet Fabien, he is 38 years old and lives in the east of France. Fabien has been scrapbooking since 2005 and his work is beyond beautiful. Fabien combines an exquisite eye for detail, texture and form with a masculine style that can sometimes be rare in the crafting world. Crafting began for Fabien, as it did for a lot of us, as a retreat from the stress of daily life. He had held a longtime interest in beautiful papers, and bookbinding and he found that scrapbooking was a happy middle-ground for his creative passions. When he isn't scrapbooking, Fabien works in the hospitality industry, training restaurant and hotel staff. He regularly posts new work on his blog so be sure to check it out! Here is what he had to say about his love for scrapbooking:

"I've been practising scrapbooking for 5 years and i love the "vintage style" as much as the "clean and simple" style. Graphic 45 papers are suitable for both. Indeed, initially these papers attracted me to make albums of memories about my family and my ancestors. But little by little,  I use them for many different projects." -Fabien

I especially love the way that Fabien uses the exposed textures of the cardboard as part of this mini album. It gives it even more of a "weathered by time" look. Very beautiful! But wait, there's more! Here is another gorgeous mini album that Fabien created using our Botanicabella collection.

I sincerely admire how Fabien uses these very old family photos in conjunction with our vintage-inspired papers. They work so seamlessly together. I can think of no better way to care for these cherished moments from long ago. You can see more of Fabien's beautiful work on his blog. He has so many stunning projects.
