Autumn Spectacular 12x12 Layout

  Gloria-Fall-LO2

"Fall is my favorite season. However, I currently live in San Diego and there is not much in the way of "fall color" here. I created this layout to celebrate some of the unique colors of fall in Southern California. The Graphic45 Steampunk and Renaissance Faire papers were perfect for my project. Most things stay green year-round here on the southern CA coast. I have noticed, after five years, that things do change color, they just don't change into the golds, reds, and oranges of my east coast childhood. Many times they turn purple, pink, or deep green. Southern California is spectacular, in it's own way." -Gloria Stengel

Complements of the Season Home Decor

Gloria-Christmas-home-decor
"I love making seasonal wall hangings to decorate my home. They are fun to make with small bits of this and that from my craft room. They are also fairly inexpensive, so are easy to change with the holidays or seasons. Nothing says Christmas like vintage images and sparkle! I made this wall hanging for my craft space. It features our family Christmas photo from 2007."

Large (4"x9") Christmas Tag Home Decor

Gloria-Sept-Christmas-Tag1
"This is another fun decor item I made for the holidays. For this large tag, I cut a piece of thick chipboard to 4"x9", then used a Tim Holtz die to create a decorative edge on one end. I painted the chipboard with several layers of crackle paint, first with weathered wood, then with picket fence. Once the paint was dry, I rubbed a bit of distress ink over it to enhance the crackle. I decorated the tag with Graphic45 papers and some other embellishments. I added some hand dyed wrinkle ribbon to enhance the vintage charm." -Gloria
