A Fairy Tale World: Inspiring Layout Creations by Jenny Svensson
Hello You Beautiful Crafters,
A very happy Tuesday to you! We hope you are all having fun with our "Inspired By Love" challenge this week. To keep you fully inspired we have enlisted the help of our amazing design team to show you some fantastic ideas. Today we're featuring crafts by the brilliant Jenny Svensson. Jenny always has the most amazing and intricate crafts that are simply mesmerizing. Have a gander at these beyond beautiful LOs!
About A Boy Layout
"This is a very three-dimensional layout. I have created boxes, some using diecut frames from the Steampunk Debutante collection, and some through folding. To make the frames stand out on the layout, and to give some dimension to some of the tags and stickers, I used U cut it foam from Glue Arts, and then I wanted to cover the sides of them. That is where the Xyron came in very handy, because the glue I normally use had some difficulties sticking onto the foam. The Xyron, however, did not. I cut thin strips of paper, and I even used a piece of ribbon from the Trim Staples, and run them through my Xyron, and covered the sides of the boxes." -Jenny Svensson
Supplies:
Graphic 45: Steampunk Debutante – “Eclectic Emporium”, “Victorian Transformers”, Frames, Tags and 8X8” paper pads. Staples – Trims, Alphabet Stickers, Envelope Tags and Stickers.
Imaginarium Designs: Chipboard Gears
Tattered Angels: Glimmer Mist – Forest Green, Gold
October Afternoon: Mini Market stickers
Glue Arts: U cut it
Xyron 2.5” Create-a-sticker
Our Own Fairy Tale World Layout
"My daughter really believes in fairies, and she also believes that fairies live in the woods and meadows around our farm, which we bought last summer. And yes, we have seen them dancing over the Endless Bog at nightfall. There are even such creatures as hamburger fairies, you know, the kind that create the hamburgers we get at McDonalds. And that isn’t all there is around the farm. There is also the Echo-well, a well in the middle of a meadow, and if you sit by that well and talk, you will hear a very strange echo coming from the woods nearby. There is the Robber’s Rock, with a huge crack in it, big enough to hide in! And believe it or not, we have our very own lemonade tree, just like the one Pippi Longstocking has in her garden, where you can pick as many bottles of lemonade you want. So it looks like we’ve got ourselves a real fairy tale world!" -Jenny Svensson
Supplies:
Graphic 45: Once Upon a Springtime – “Tiny Treasures”, “Flight of Fancy”, “Once Upon a Springtime”, “Woodland Fantasy”, Staples – Trims.
Imaginarium Designs: Chipboard Swirls
Pink Paislee: Expressions Cushies Alphabet
Prima: Crystal and Pearls Swirl, Bronte Blooms
Ranger: Distress Crackle paint Picket Fence
