So lets have a look at this gorgeous and heart-felt book by Jane Tragenza! You're going to adore this beautiful photo book. Here is what Jane had to say about what inspired her to create this little treasure.

"I was so delighted to find that I had made it to the final round for Graphic 45’s design team. I knew straight away what I wanted to make. I love making books, big ones, little ones, it doesn’t matter, I just like making books. I wanted to make a book using all of  Graphic 45’s Collections and use as many of the paper as possible . A different Collection on every page. I wanted to use the papers rather than a lot of embellishments. When you have such beautiful paper you don’t need a lot of other stuff.  I thought I would do it on the people I love. I spent 5 days designing and making the book. It had to be in the states by a certain date and with having to send it from Australia, I didn’t have a lot of time. I am really happy with how it turned out and was thrilled when I found out it got me into the Graphic 45’s Design team for 2010. I cannot thank Graphic 45 enough for letting me be a part of their team.  The other Girls on the team are so talented and we all get on so well. I will be attending CHA this year and am looking forward to meeting some of them for the 1st time." -Jane Tragenza

TPIL-Cover

I don’t plan my projects at all, I start with a favourite paper and I just cut, I keep adding another layer and keep cutting. For the cover I used papers from Fashionista and Playtimes Past and Domestic Goddess. I added some German Scrap and Alpha’s from Prima. I put some ribbons on top of the letter s to give them a pattern. I made the flower by pleating a strip of paper. I include some of my mini patch work pieces (true love last a life time and moments) I have a passion for miniature and the squares is a obsession. I am working on a major piece which has over 250 squares. It is nearly finished.  I used an old book cover to give it strength, I just covered it with paper. Some embellishments from Tim Holtz, 7 Gypsies and ribbon to finish it off.

The people I love 087

This one is on Malcolm and myself. It has a photo of us in the good old days and one taken last year. For this page I used papers from Fashionista. The border for the top of the page is from A Proper Gentleman. I used some more alphas from Prima and Heidi Swapp. Each page is made from two sheets of bazzil. This way each page opens flat and the pages are back to back, rather than putting them inside each other (if you are a book maker, you will know what I mean). I made a family tree to include our five children.

  The people I love 024

This one is on Malcolm, with a pocket for tags. I used papers from Domestic Goddess, A Proper Gentleman and Renaissances Faire. I made three tags to go into the pocket. Each side of a tag is for each child and one tag is for  my daughter who was married last year. When I looked through all my photos I noticed that I didn’t always have a photo of Malcolm and our children as babies. Which is a bit sad, I am sure that I did but just can’t find them. I made all the flowers using punches and Graphic 45’s beautiful papers.

The people I love 079

The people I love 081

The people I love 083

The people I love 085

The people I love 086

The people I love 003-1

"When I finished making each page I folded them  in half,  on the back of each page, I have glued a strip of pattered around the fold. This means when you look at the spine, rather than Bazzill you have print paper instead. Each page is then stuck to the back of the next page. When each of the pages are stuck together you can stick ribbons round from the front and back.  Then the covers are glued on front and back. I hope you enjoy looking. I was delighted to have this book feature in Scrapbooking and Beyond. I have had a lot of emails from Ladies wanting more information on making the book, would love to teach it in America but it would need to be a week of classes. I am teaching it in Australia at the moment with about 20 ladies joining me once a month. It will take them 12 months to make, as we are adding a few more pages using some of the new collections from Graphic 45. Thanks for looking!" -Jane Tragenza

We want to thank Jane for sharing this beautiful book with us. Stay with us all this week as we feature more stunningly inspiring crafts from our design team. We are so excited!

Happy Papercrafting!

At the same time, it's always good to get a head start on next year's party planning! So have a look at this adorable banner and let the ideas flow!

"So I created this AWESOME Halloween {BOO} banner! This inspiration came from Christie Bryant  Who is also on the Graphic 45 Design Team. A Fairy Tale World: Inspiring Layout Creations by Jenny Svensson

Hello You Beautiful Crafters,

A very happy Tuesday to you! We hope you are all having fun with our "Inspired By Love" challenge this week. To keep you fully inspired we have enlisted the help of our amazing design team to show you some fantastic ideas. Today we're featuring crafts by the brilliant Jenny Svensson. Jenny always has the most amazing and intricate crafts that are simply mesmerizing. Have a gander at these beyond beautiful LOs!

About A Boy Layout

"This is a very three-dimensional layout. I have created boxes, some using diecut frames from the Steampunk Debutante collection, and some through folding. To make the frames stand out on the layout, and to give some dimension to some of the tags and stickers, I used U cut it foam from Glue Arts, and then I wanted to cover the sides of them. That is where the Xyron came in very handy, because the glue I normally use had some difficulties sticking onto the foam. The Xyron, however, did not. I cut thin strips of paper, and I even used a piece of ribbon from the Trim Staples, and run them through my Xyron, and covered the sides of the boxes." -Jenny Svensson

Supplies:

Graphic 45: Steampunk Debutante – “Eclectic Emporium”, “Victorian Transformers”, Frames, Tags and 8X8” paper pads. Staples – Trims, Alphabet Stickers, Envelope Tags and Stickers.
Imaginarium Designs: Chipboard Gears
Tattered Angels: Glimmer Mist – Forest Green, Gold
October Afternoon: Mini Market stickers
Glue Arts: U cut it
Xyron 2.5” Create-a-sticker

Our Own Fairy Tale World Layout

"My daughter really believes in fairies, and she also believes that fairies live in the woods and meadows around our farm, which we bought last summer. And yes, we have seen them dancing over the Endless Bog at nightfall. There are even such creatures as hamburger fairies, you know, the kind that create the hamburgers we get at McDonalds. And that isn’t all there is around the farm. There is also the Echo-well, a well in the middle of a meadow, and if you sit by that well and talk, you will hear a very strange echo coming from the woods nearby. There is the Robber’s Rock, with a huge crack in it, big enough to hide in! And believe it or not, we have our very own lemonade tree, just like the one Pippi Longstocking has in her garden, where you can pick as many bottles of lemonade you want. So it looks like we’ve got ourselves a real fairy tale world!" -Jenny Svensson
