So Magical: CHA Set-Up and Magic of Oz Crafts!
Hello Wonderful Crafters,
Welcome to our blog today! We are hard at work at CHA and we thought today would be the perfect opportunity to take you behind the scenes of our CHA preparation! We also have some spectacular craft inspiration from the superb Hilde Janbroers of our design team. She's created some adorable and brilliant Magic of Oz crafts that are sure to sweep you off your feet! So let's get to it! CHA is always a long and grueling process where we are the firsts ones there and the last ones to leave. But once the booth is up and Diane has put her finishing touches on everything, it is well worth the long hours. That's when the magic of Graphic 45 really comes to life and we get to visit with so many fantastic folks from the crafting community. We always meet so many amazing people, get inspired by the volumes of creativity all over the place, connect with old friends and make new ones. Every CHA is a new and exciting opportunity and we always look forward to it even though it requires so much hard work. Here is Diane, Aimee and Jenay setting up our booth (#715) and taking a break to wave to the camera.
.
Here Diane is hard at work making sure everything looks immaculate.
.
Here is Jeff, another member of the Graphic 45 family and our G45 manly man taking care of business.
.
This is just a small percentage of the sea of "stuff" that is needed to make the magic happen.
.
Next we have some stunning Magic of Oz crafts by Hilde Janbroers to share with you! Hilde has created a super sweet layout and decorative banner from this playful new paper collection. Her crafts are always so heartwarming and gorgeous! Check out this amazing LO that's so full of love and vibrant detail!
"I placed a piece of paper vertical on the blue/white paper. The photo will be in the centre of the layout. On the corners of the photo I added the pearl swirls and then the chipboard frame. I cut out the images of the scarecrow and added them on the sides of the photo. As always I love to embellish, so I added some chipboards and metal hinges to decorate the page. I created the rosettes out of the papers to create perfect embellishments for the layout." -Hilde Janbroers
Supplies:
The magic of Oz paperpad, chipboard die cuts 1 & 2.
Staples metal hinges
scrabble letters
Want2scrap swirls, black pearls
chipboard frame from the dt package, don't know the brand
tim holtz rosette die
prima roses
.
Next is this amazing Magic of Oz banner, also by Hilde. She is well known for her fabulous banners and this one is no exception! This banner is so gorgeous! It would look amazing in any room of the house!
"When I saw this collection I knew I was going to make a banner. I decorated each tennant with paper first and then added my embellishments. I wanted to have a tennant with the main characters of the Wizard of Oz. So together with the chipboard with the word they are looking for in the famous movie, I thought this would be a perfect banner for a kids room! I love the colors of this collection! I added dots around the banners to highlight them. Lots of layering to create dimension. The chipboards are covered with Smooch spritz." -Hilde Janbroers
Supplies:
Clear Scraps tennants banner
Graphic 45 The Magic of Oz papers, Chipboard die cuts 1 & 2, stamps
Tim Holtz rosette die
Spellbinders nestabillities eyelet circles
Prima Marketing flowers
Want2scrap chipboard, pearls
Graphic 45 staples metal flowers, metal buttons
