"I am a wife to a lovely husband and a mother to a 5 year old girl. I started scrapbooking in the year 2008 because I wanted to store all the memories with my family in this beautiful way. Nowadays, I teach scrapbook near Kyoto. I am willing to challenge many things throughout scrapbook. I can say my style is soft and feminine. I love to crop many elegant photos. I wish to challenge that it can make also from a different style. When I am making a layout, I always try to make it look like the whole layout is one picture. I love to use a lot of rhinestones, stamps, mists, and inks for my creations. I am honored to be a member of Graphic 45. I will do my best." -Maiko Miwa

I guess you could say that I have always been surrounded by all things vintage. From the age of 3 my parents spent 13 years refinishing their 1856 Victorian House in Historical Downtown Lebanon Ohio. My Father was a civil engineer and was often gone during the week. But the weekends were dedicated to refinishing furniture, hanging wall paper, or just out antiquing looking for that perfect vintage piece for the house. I had button collections and vintage hats as my prizes for going with them. I loved taking things apart and learning how they worked. Some of my fondest memories were Hard Hat days, going to work with my dad renovating the Cincinnati Art Museum or the Zoo. Lego's were a must have growing up, along with every other building toys at the time. Around 6th grade I found Art and from there I was stricken with passion. Leading a life driven by my Art and always striving to learn something new, pushing myself to new limits. It truly wasn't until I had my daughter that I found Scrapbooking and Altered Art. It was then that I felt all things from my past made a full circle to come together as one. Combining my love for Art, building things and remembering history and the objects connected to it. In 2010 I went out on my own focusing on my art full time, selling online, teaching and selling at 2-3 local shows a month. Over the past year I have been blessed to work with Graphic 45 to share with you my love of Art and the passion to create it! This year is no exception and I feel truly humbled to be back for one more year working with this AMAZING New team! Thank you EVERYONE at Graphic 45 for helping my life come full circle, and for inspiring me to follow my dreams!!! You are truly an inspiration to ALL!!

Next up is this grand layout that Nicole made using Kraft Reflections and Olde Curiosity Shoppe. This LO is inspiring for so many reasons. You really get a sense for Nicole's great imagination with this vibrant work of art. She combines beautiful embellishments and captivating colors to create a wonderful statement. This is another great example of Nicole's knack creating a true vintage-inspired treasure.
Here is an incredible fairy book that Nicole created. We'd featured this amazing creation on our blog back in March. It was so great to see this gorgeous book in person when Nicole sent it with her final submissions for the Graphic 45 design team call. Each page represents a season and is made using different Graphic 45 collections that best capture the tone. This book was so skillfully made and it even contains a lovely poem! Nicole's talents radiate in this enchanting book!
