There's a beautiful quote by Maya Angelou that says, "I sustain myself with the love of family." We couldn't agree more here at Graphic 45! Family is such an important part of our lives and it plays a huge role in how we create! Today on the Graphic 45 blog we are celebrating family and how it inspires us! We will be sharing two gorgeous ideas for family-friendly layouts! You will see an adorable LO featuring our Bird Song collection by Tara Orr. Then we will share a super sweet LO featuring An ABC Primer by Gloria Stengel! Both of these magnificent projects are sure to give you incredible ideas for some precious layouts for your family!
Lets begin with Tara's perfectly layered and embellished Bird Song LO! Tara's layouts always contain the most adorable photos of her family! Do you have some sweetly nostalgic photos of your family that are just waiting for the perfect layout?! Let Tara's LO inspire you to turn your memories into a craft treasure for the ages! Here is what she had to say about this pretty work of art!
"I love revisiting older collections - especially when I am drawn to a particular theme or colour. Spring is in the air and the cherry blossoms in these papers just screamed spring to me!! I love pairing the soft, pastel pinks with the bolder colours to really allow them to stand out." -Tara
I cut the stand off the bottom of the Easel Album and then flipped the album sideways so that the binding spiral is on the left side. The album is now a "book" rather than an easel album.
I plan to create a title page, 12 monthly pages, and an end page. I am giving this album to my daughter as a graduation gift, therefore I will not be adding photos. I will attach the layouts with photo mats so that she can add her own photos.
I created this page for my daughter to add a school photo. She will be attending college full time this fall. I used some of the childlike images from An ABC Primer and Place in Time, but I also added some stamps that are more "grown up math" oriented. I think this edgy page is perfect for her to use for a college photo.
I made my own custom background paper by stamping onto a sheet of An ABC Primer Grammar School. I also sprayed the paper with mists.
I included a journaling block where she can write her thoughts about the photo she chooses.
I placed the layout into the altered Easel Album. I hope to have more pages finished soon!
