We couldn't be happier to welcome back Denise Hahn to the Graphic 45 Design Team! She has such a glamorous, retro style and a sweet sense of humor in all of her crafts. She also has a fantastic grasp of using color and playful embellishments to add a unique charm to every project. She has an incredible craft blog called In My Blue Room that is a constant source of fun and inspiration. She offers an endless supply of gorgeous ideas, fun tutorials and joyful sentiments. It is this great combination of qualities that make Denise such a fabulous member of the Graphic 45. We love her work and we think you will too! Say hello to the splendidly talented Denise Hahn!
My name is Denise Hahn and I am a mixed media artist and crafter from Long Beach California. I have always loved creating and I get my creativity from my Mom and Grandmother. They always had elaborately decorated packages under the Christmas tree along with handmade decorations. They also sewed amazing Halloween costumes for us. I was always in awe of what they could create and soon started joining them. But somehow I lost sight of creating and for many years let it slip away. Then I was introduced to scrapbooking from a friend and I have never looked back. I consider myself a crafter of all trades; I do paper crafting, mixed media, altered art, and jewelry. But I am always looking to learn new things. I design for Graphic 45, Xyron and Clearsnap. My work has been featured in Jewelry Affaire, Somerset publications, and Romantic Homes. I live in Long Beach, Ca with my husband and our two lovable pit bulls Juno and Pipi. When I am not crafting I Play roller derby for the Orange County Roller Girls (my Derby name is Crafty of course!), and skiing in Colorado.
Here is a superb example of Denise's boundless imagination. This is a French Country altered mailbox that she created! This is such a fun idea and it would make a wonderful gift or piece of home decor! The French Country papers look so pretty with coordinating Chipboard Die-Cut Tags! Denise definitely knows how to create a whimsical work of art that is both fun and functional!

Last but not least is this elegant dress form that Denise made as a gift for her mom. It was created using Place in Time papers, paper mache form and a thrift store candlestick. The body is fully decoupaged with the reverse side of Place in Time May Cut Aparts. Denise made the little sash from Place in Time paper and accented it with Chipboard Die-Cuts. This is such an exquisite work of art that warms the heart. It's the perfect gift for a very special mom!
