Follow along to create your own 12 Days of Christmas treasure! Take it away, Denise
I can’t help it, I am a lover of pink and baby blue for Christmas! You can imagine my joy when I saw the latest Christmas collection from G45, 12 Days of Christmas. I immediately fell in love with Christmas Rose. I usually like to have the paper in hand to pick out my favorites, but the second I scrolled to this print when it was previewed on the blog- it was love at first sight! Here are some tips for creating a card like this one
I created a spine to tie the ribbon on, that way the card opens easliy. Do this by scoring ½ inch in from your center fold-then run adhesive in the middle to secure. Punch holes and run your ribbon.
I accordion folded some crepe paper then I ran tacky glue under the cut out. Lay the crepe over the glue-then flip it over and “pull and push” to create the wavy ruffle look. The tacky glue gives you working time. After it dries-use your finger to add glue to crepe edge and sprinkle on glitter.
Use coordinating color scraps to make the snowflakes- I use my Xyron Create A Sticker- Place snowflake right side down and run through. Sprinkle with glitter. When duplicating embellishments I always use an odd number, so 3 flakes for this card.
Since Graphic 45 papers are double sided I almost always do this border punch technique on card edges- that way the reverse coordinating backside peeks through.
