Here is a fabulous layout featuring our new Typography collection by Romy. You can see how she used pretty paper layers and a few fun embellishments to give this LO a timeless look. This layout is such a celebration of life and love! Here is what Romy had to say about it!
"One of my favourite topics to scrapbook about is love. On this layout I decided to document the love that my parents have for each other. After having been together for almost 25 years now, they are still in love with each other. The Typography collection was perfect for creating this tribute to love, because of its vintage and romantic patterns and colours. I also used one of the Mother Goose papers to create the neutral background, on top of which the rest of the layers are added" -Romy

Next up is this super fun and cute LO by Nichola that features our new Mother Goose collection. This is the perfect collection for any project featuring children or babies. Nichola added pretty paper layers, a bit of paper distressing, as well as a few fun ink smudges to capture the cuteness and curiosity of childhood. You can really let your imagination take flight with Mother Goose! Let this collection inspire you to create a precious LO that you'll cherish for a lifetime! Here is what Nichola had to say about this sweet work of art.
“Sugar and spice and everything nice, that’s what girls are made of.” I’m pretty sure this did (does?) not apply to me. I’ve always been more of a ‘mud and grime and a little bit of slime’ girl. AND I bet I’m not the only one! In fact, I’m still a huge fan of getting messy so I thought it would be fun to explore that in a layout using the Mother Goose collection. Smudges and fingerprints aren’t always a bad thing." -Nichola

As the holidays approach, there's tons of opportunities for taking sweet snapshots! The beautiful changing seasons and holiday festivities offers us endless inspiration. Why not take one of your favorite photos and use it to create a lovely layout with Graphic 45? Here is a fabulously festive LO that Maria created with Steampunk Spells and Place in Time. She even made a step-by-step tutorial for you to enjoy! This LO also offers some great ways to use your Graphic 45 scraps! Get in the holiday crafting spirit as you celebrate your favorite moments! Here Maria explains how she got inspired to create this amazing LO!
"As a papercrafter, I end up with a LOT of scraps! But I can’t bear to toss them, so I keep everything until inspiration hits. As I was rummaging through my scraps recently, I found a lot of great pieces that would work perfectly for a Halloween layout! And who better to scrap than my favorite 4-legged friend, Rosie the Norwich Terrier! Rosie is my in-laws’ dog and wherever she goes, she’s always melting hearts. This is a photo from her first Halloween two years ago. She is always doing cute things, so whether it’s Halloween or not, she always gets a treat! She loves treats and toys, so I fussy cut a bunch of pumpkin hot air balloons to resemble little dog toys. I used my October Foundation from Place In Time as my base, and a whole bunch of scraps from my Steampunk Spells collections. If you have scraps lying around, here’s an easy tutorial on how to make your own layout just like this!" -Maria

Here is Maria's super fun layout tutorial! You can click on the link below to download the tutorial or just follow along with the instructions here to recreate this amazing craft project! Have fun!
Note: Ink all edges with Black Soot Distress Ink before adhering.
Step 1. Fussy cut the edge of your 12” x 12” October Foundation, then adhere on top of black cardstock.
Step 2. Cut Beware paper to 8.5” wide x 4” tall. Apply your favorite border punch along the bottom.
Step 3. Take a black polka dot pattern from your 6x6 pad. Apply a border punch to the top, such as Martha Stewart’s Garden Gate punch. Next from your 6x6 pad, take your darkest solid orange pattern and use a die like Spellbinder’s Captivating Squares to cut a 4.25” x 4.25” square.
Step 4. Take your Tick Tock paper and cut (1) 6.5” x 3.5” and (1) 6.5” x 4.5”. Use a border punch along the bottom of your 3.5” tall piece and use the clock side. Flip your 4.5” tall piece over to reveal hounds tooth pattern.
Step 5. Gather a small and large metal butterfly, some Petaloo Dahlias, Steampunk Spells chipboard pieces, Steampunk Spells banners, and (2) chipboard gears such as these ones from Petaloo. From your Pumpkin Power paper, fussy cut (1) large pumpkin hot air balloon. Fussy cut just the pumpkin part for (4) medium-sized pumpkins and (3) small pumpkins.
Step 6. Arrange all your paper onto the layout. Adhere once you’re happy how things look! Trim your photo to a 4” square and adhere using foam dots.
Step 7. Adhere banners to upper right. Attach small fussy cut pumpkins with foam dots.
Step 8. Adhere your embellishments per photo. Use Place In Time alphabet sticker sheet to create the phrase “Where’s my treat?” (Use a #1 sticker for the apostrophe.) Optional: apply glossy accents to pumpkins in upper left and lower right corners. Apply Platinum Stickles to butterflies and fussy cut pumpkins.
