Are you a member of Graphic 45 Ning? It's a great place to share your projects, chat with other designers, and comment on inspiring works. Truly a wonderful site to share!

Graphic 45 Ning

We will share 5 projects from 5 incredible designers on our Ning! First, we will begin with this French Country altered house by Maribel Plaza Pinto. She uses French Country to alter the roof and sides of this amazing project. Love how she adds metal embellishments to really take this altered house to the next level.

Next, Tati Scrap shares the most fabulous Fashionista Valentine's Day card. Fashionista is one of our wonderful retired collections, and Tati uses it brilliantly. Love how she uses the flowers to frame the beautiful lady's face. What a beautiful idea!

Let's continue the Ning highlights with a great set of altered drawers using Couture by Elaine Wainwright. Love the great details on the top of the drawers. This is such a great project to use for storage or just for beauty!

We have been sharing quite a few Spring projects here on the blog. We love the bright colors and happy sentiments - this layout by Rebecca Morris is a perfect example! She uses Sweet Sentiments to make the most brilliantly composed and whimsical layout.

To close out the day, check out how Kathy Clement uses our Typography Chipboard! It's a mini mini that just is so chunky, fun, and fantastic! She really makes the most of the Typography paper and the ribbon details as well. How fresh and creative!

Wow, we are always so amazed by our designers sharing on our Ning. Aren't you? Will you join today and share your beauties as well? We cannot wait to see what you have to share!

Before we go, we wanted to invite you to join us for the grand celebration of National Craft Month starting Monday here on the blog! There will be tutorials, great shares, and all around FUN all of March! See you next week - we can't wait!

3 Ways to Update your Home Decor with Graphic 45

Good morning G45ers,

Have you been in the mood to update some things, recently? It's the time of year where you've either had lots of snow days or the holidays have slowed down and you finally have time to re-imagine some of those spaces that have been on your to-do list. We have some great items to inspire your space! We have a jaw-dropping altered Botanical Tea coffee grinder from Miranda Edney. Then, a great set of Good ol' Sport altered blocks by Nichola Battilana. To close out the blog, we will share a great chalkboard using French Country by Olga Struk! You will run from your computer to do some sprucing!

First, here's a little reminder of the incredible contest going on this week...and they're some retired collections! That's truly the best part. How fun! All you need to do is comment here on the blog or on our Facebook to win. We'll announce the winner tomorrow, so comment today! Here's another peek at the goodies up for grabs...

Photo 1 (1) copy

This next Botanical Tea project by Miranda is perfect for a centerpiece, for display, or decor for your next tea party. This is just an amazing piece of altered art.

"I found this old timey coffee grinder in a thrift shop awhile back. I knew G45 paper was in order, but wasn’t sure which line. Then ….. BEHOLD…. Botanical Tea!  Swoon! I just can’t stop using this one! It very well may be….my favorite line to date! There , I said it :)

Anyways I crackle painted the top rounded bowl grinder. The rest was covered with paper! Add some spanish moss to the top and decorate your nest however you want! I had a start to finish on this, unfortunately the video file was 'corrupted.' If you have any questions , I’d be glad to help :)" -Miranda

Love the way Miranda let some of the coffee grinder still peek through, but covered with strips of paper. What a great shabby chic touch!

Supply List:

Botanical Tea-Botanical Tea
Botanical Tea-Flora
Botanical Tea-Fauna
Botanical Tea-Hello Friend
Graphic 45 Staples
Shabby Chic Door Pull
May Arts Ribbon
Spanish Moss
Resin Frame
Ginas Designs Chipboards
Prima Flowers

Nichola created some great Good ol' Sport altered blocks that would be perfect for a masculine study, a child's bedroom, or a game room! The possiblities are endless!

"Recently I joined a swap exchanging Artist Trading Blocks. These blocks of wood measure 2.5” x 3.5” x 1.5” and are embellished and traded just like ATC’s (artist trading cards). It’s great fun to create these tiny 3 dimentional works of art and I thought it would be a fabulous medium for the Good ol Sport collection. How great would these look in a masculine den or sports lovers room?

A few tips for making your own: The top finials and bottom stands are simply miscellaneous wooden pieces adhered  together. Old wooden knobs and pulls, chess pieces, crafting pieces pieced together until they look just right. Once painted or stained they look as though they are one piece. Add some age to the pieces by grunging them. Sand all of the edges and then staining them with dark brown, watered down acrylic paint. To protect the finished project, coat with a light sealant." ~ Nichola

Great for: the kitchen, the study, your mud room to remind the family of their to-dos, and a sweet idea for love notes throughout the house! What room do you need a chalkboard the most?

Magical Mother Goose Mini & More

Clare Charvill Mini Album Chest Pic 9

Good Day, G45ers!

Who has used the fabulous Mother Goose? Doesn't it just have the most whimsical children's imagery? It brings back so many memories of yesteryear while still using fresh and vibrant colors perfect for today! Annette Green and Clare Charvill shows us how fun this collection is to use today. Annette has made a magical Mother Goose mini album. Clare shares a wonderful altered cabinet and mini! You will adore both of them.

A magical world of fairy tales await your crafting table with Mother Goose. Each page will bring joy!

Annette gives the greatest idea of a mini for your baby or as a gift! What a great way to memorialize those precious memories with your children? Mother Goose has been such a popular children's book for so long, it transcends the years. You will love her video tutorial of this wonderful mini album.

"Although my 'baby' is now 16, I still love making baby cards and baby albums. You never know when someone is going to have a baby! So when the Mother Goose collection came out, I knew I had to make a little tag album with it. With its vintage style Mother Goose imagery I remember from my childhood, this paper brings back fond memories. This would make a great mini album for a new mom or even a grandparent so they can show off their little bundle of joy." ~Annette

Annette builds this mini from our Regular Tag Staples - love the binding she creates!

"How cute is this little display cabinet. It came flat packed and ready to decorate in one of our DT packages a while back and was really fun to put together. It has the outers for the little albums already cut to size and was the perfect project to use 8 x 8 papers on. I used black card to make up the albums and then combined papers, tags and banners from the Mother Goose collection to decorate the case and the middle album the other two albums have blank pages like little mini scrap books." ~Clare
