Now, we have a special treat in store from Clare. Let's see what she has to say about this brilliant project:
"This is such a pretty collection to design with. I adore the vintage Valentine images and the subtle beige and pink pastel shades of the papers that work so well together.
I used a Staples 8 x 8 Matchbook box , painted it with pink and antique gold chalk acrylic paint, and then used 12 x 12 papers to decorate the flat surfaces inside and out. Then I added the cherubs and flowers fussy from the papers along with a metal drawer pull and ornate metal keys and a sheet of acetate to finish.
The easel card is made from craft card, decorated with coordinating papers, layered cut parts and flowers to match the box. A truly prety Valentine gift. "- Clare

To close out this fun day, we have a beautiful Valentine's Day wreath by Rhea using Sweet Sentiments with beautiful touches of ribbon and flowers. She framed a beautiful image with the paper hearts, and it creates stunning home decor for February! Here's what Rhea has to say about this beauty:
"This project started out with a wooden wreath base I picked up at a local garage sale. I am always on
the hunt for things with flat surfaces which can be easily altered or adorned with paper. With the heart
motif, it was destined to be altered with Sweet Sentiments. To create a nice base I painted on a layer of
gesso and once it was dry, I aged it with Distress Stain in Tea Dye. The paper was added in layers that
were stitched together on a sewing machine. I am not a seamstress by any means, but I do like to add
thread as a design element from time to time. Another trick used in this project was to age my ribbons
from May Arts. The ribbon was pink and white to start out. I thought it was a bit too stark, so I simply
wet the ribbon and then added some distress stain. I love how the aged look really pulls it all together!" - Rhea
