"Graphic 45 does each style beautifully and I love working with all of their different collections, but it is still the romantic and feminine papers that are most close to my heart. With the gorgeous Botanical Tea collection, one of my new favourites, I made this romantic wedding card." ~Romy
Botanical Tea Card Tutorial
Trim a sheet of white cardstock at 12 x 4” and fold it in the middle. Cut out three rectangles from the “Fauna”, “Just Because” and “Herbal Infusion” papers of, respectively, 5.7 x 3.7”, 5.5 x 3.5” and 5.3 x 3.3” and adhere them on the card base.
Use a die to make a doily from the “Herbal Infusion” paper or use a premade doily. Cut it into two halves and attach both halves onto the card.
Take the “Botanical Tea” paper from the 8x8 pad and trim it at 4,5 x 2.5”. Also cut out a card from the “Hello Friend” paper from this paper pad. Attach both trimmed papers to the card. Then, take a die-cut tag and position it in the centre of the card as well.
Cut out two roses from the “Flora” paper and attach them to the card with foamtape.
Take a chipboard embellishment from the Botanical Tea Chipboard 1 package and attach it in the middle of the card with foamtape.
Glue down a blue die-cut from the “Tags & Pockets” package on top of the chipboard piece. Also cut out a hummingbird from the “Botanical Tea” sheet from the 8x8 pad. Use foamtape to attach it on top of the chipboard piece.
Cut out two flowers from the “Sweet Chamomile” paper and position them next to the rose in the left upper corner. Also cut out a couple of butterflies and slightly fold their wings. Add these butterflies to your card. Optionally, you can decorate their wings with glitter glue and add pearls in their centres.
"Botanical Tea might just be my new all-time favorite Graphic 45 collection. The soft colors, the botanical imagery, and the vintage touches come together to create the perfect feminine feel in everything I make with it. This card is a good example of how little actual technique went into the design and how much the papers do the work for you. " ~Annette
