Botanical Tea Card Tutorial

Wedding card step 1

Step 1:

Trim a sheet of white cardstock at 12 x 4” and fold it in the middle. Cut out three rectangles from the “Fauna”, “Just Because” and “Herbal Infusion” papers of, respectively, 5.7 x 3.7”, 5.5 x 3.5” and 5.3 x 3.3” and adhere them on the card base.

Wedding card step 2

Step 2:

Use a die to make a doily from the “Herbal Infusion” paper or use a premade doily. Cut it into two halves and attach both halves onto the card.

Wedding card step 3

Step 3:

Take the “Botanical Tea” paper from the 8x8 pad and trim it at 4,5 x 2.5”. Also cut out a card from the “Hello Friend” paper from this paper pad. Attach both trimmed papers to the card. Then, take a die-cut tag and position it in the centre of the card as well.

Wedding card step 4

Step 4:

Cut out two roses from the “Flora” paper and attach them to the card with foamtape.

Wedding card step 5

Step 5:

Take a chipboard embellishment from the Botanical Tea Chipboard 1 package and attach it in the middle of the card with foamtape.

Wedding card step 6

Step 6:

Glue down a blue die-cut from the “Tags & Pockets” package on top of the chipboard piece. Also cut out a hummingbird from the “Botanical Tea” sheet from the 8x8 pad. Use foamtape to attach it on top of the chipboard piece.

Wedding card step 7

Step 7:

Cut out two flowers from the “Sweet Chamomile” paper and position them next to the rose in the left upper corner. Also cut out a couple of butterflies and slightly fold their wings. Add these butterflies to your card. Optionally, you can decorate their wings with glitter glue and add pearls in their centres.

Next, we have a gorgeous Botanical Tea card from the amazing Annette!

"Botanical Tea might just be my new all-time favorite Graphic 45 collection. The soft colors, the botanical imagery, and the vintage touches come together to create the perfect feminine feel in everything I make with it. This card is a good example of how little actual technique went into the design and how much the papers do the work for you. " ~Annette

You know how much I love cards, so this was my favorite day on the blog this week. Ginny's snap guide tutorial was wonderful. She makes the BEST card with Mother Goose! And, I love the two Botanical tea cards as well. Thanks for getting my creative juices flowing this morning!

Love all the cards, beautiful work, TFS!

I agree with Annette's statement that the papers do the work (of design) for you.

I'm partial to Little Boy Blue but they are all gorgeous.

Wonderful posting today...all 3 cards are just delightful! Thank you for designing such gorgeous paper collections!

They are all so beautiful. I like the idea of cutting a doily in half, hadn't thought of doing that - thankyou!

Three fun cards, also very pretty. Great week on the blog.

What beautiful cards. Love the layering and colors.

WOW gals! I'm new to everything G45 and have fallen "in love" with it all! Like Annette says, there's so much beauty and color to appreciate already that it doesn't take much to create super art - however, I can also appreciate the layering effect like Romy demonstrates. I'm sometimes hesitant to layer because of my tendency to go overboard. But the work Romy does has taught me a good deal about how to balance! All beautiful work ladies! Thank you.

How true is thy beauty,
How great is thine art,
My goodness, how worthy
Art thine in my heart!!

Keep those fantastic ideas coming, design team!!!!!!!!!

Great cards. Thanks to the designers for sharing and Graphic45 for the great papers.

Both cards are so beautiful, great job and thanks for sharing

One of my favorite things to do is to create beautiful cards to send to friends and family. G45 makes it possible to create the most awesome cards because their designer papers work for any occasion. All have luscious colors and the quality of the paper is excellent. I wouldn't think of using any other!

Beautiful cards!! Thanks for sharing all of your wonderful creations with us all!!!
