Einat Kessler and Kathy Clement have filled the blog with awesome tips and techniques today! It will be a crafty Halloween for sure. Let's see their beautiful work!

First, Einat shares a much-requested tutorial - her Washi Tape album binding technique! Then, she has awesome Halloween tips below. Take a look!

"Although I don’t celebrate Halloween I love making Halloween projects. All the spooky and gory images, skeletons and witches are so fun to play with. The Hallowe’en in Wonderland collection is no different. I just loved all the characters and colors of the papers. My Halloween Spooky house is made from two boxes. The smaller box is the house in which I used the lid to create the roof and the larger box is the base that holds the mini album. You all wanted to learn how to bind a mini album with Washi tape so I created this mini album with that technique!" ~Einat

Tip #1: Use a bandage you can get in every pharmacy to add a spooky look to your project. Pull it in all directions to give it a look of an unraveled mummy’s shrouds.

Tip #2: Instead of covering the wall of the house with a piece of paper cut it into “bricks” to add interest and a realistic look.

Halloween Tea with Alice, Halloween in Wonderland, by Kathy Clement, Product by Graphic 45, Photo 1

Now, Kathy gets us ready for a fabulous tea party! We love this!

"Halloween is such a fun holiday! It seems to bring out the  kid in all of us, giving us a reason to let our imaginations go wild as we design costumes, plan parties and decorate our homes.  The vibrant colors and playful images of Halloween in Wonderland strike the perfect note for a spooktacular Halloween.  That’s why I decided to use it to create this whimsical Halloween Tea with Alice centerpiece." ~Kathy

Tip: I used the top from an 8x8 Staples mixed media box for the base of my centerpiece.  Turning the box upside down, I filled in the window opening and the open sides with chipboard.  This created a really solid base to work with.  After covering the base with papers from Halloween in Wonderland,  I went to work on building the rest of the scene.

These 3x5 Staples Matchboxes were the perfect size to serves as pillars in my centerpiece.  After painting all the edges with Black Soot Distress Ink, I decorated the boxes with paper and fussy cut images.  In keeping with the theme, one box contains several tea bags, while the other contains a small package of cookies.  Petaloo flowers, purple buttons and twine bows add a nice pop of color.

My not too creepy tea pots are made from white ceramic napkin rings that I colored with Alcohol inks.  Chipboard spider webs were glued to the back with Glossy Accents.  Mini pumpkins fit perfectly in the hollow center.  Spanish Moss and a painted chipboard spider add just the right “eek” factor, don’t you think?

This rusty tea table was made from a 4” wide bottle cap and an empty spool.  To give it this spooky finish, I tapped it with rust paste, then topped it with a spider web tablecloth and pumpkin centerpiece.  The dinner plates are chipboard buttons from the collection.  I added mini cutlery and brass teacup charms.  The “napkins” are rolled up pieces of purple glitz ribbon tied with burlap string.

This olive oil bottle was the perfect size and shape for this image of Alice.  The bottle was painted with Clear Rock Candy Distress Paint.  After the paint had set and crackled, I dripped Alcohol Ink onto it to make it Halloween ready.  When everything was dried, the image was glued onto the surface.  I finished the bottle off with Petaloo flowers and purple glitz ribbon.

Fussy cut images look 3-D when nestled in with pretty pumpkins, acorns and flowers.  I created a “hinge” for these images by cutting a 1” high piece of cardstock that was about an inch shorter than the length of the fussy cut piece.  The cardstock was folded in half and creased. One half of the hinge was glued to the back of the image.  Then I gently curved the image against the edge of my ruler, added adhesive to the base of the cardstock hinge and glued it in place.  It’s a simple trick, but it makes the images come to life.

Fill a small glass vial with fine green glitter and tie on this “drink me” tag.

Paint pumpkins with Clear Rock Candy Distress Paint to give them a frosty appearance.  When dry, drip on Alcohol Ink and green glitter.  The fussy cut tea set you can see in the background was added to the scene using the paper “hinge” technique.
