Create Jewelry with Graphic 45!
Today, we have an extra special blog in store for you. Did you know you can make beautiful jewelry with Graphic 45? The possibilities are endless! Joanne Bain and Katelyn Grosart give stunning jewelry ideas with Graphic 45 Staples, papers, and chipboard. How fun is this? Let's take a look at a breathtaking Steampunk necklace from Joanne:
"To create my steampunk pendant I used the larger Graphic 45 Metal Clock Keys as the base and then added other smaller metal cogs and flowers. To create more interest on the pendant I layered in more of the smaller Graphic 45 Ornate Keys and then added some of the screws that normally would screw into the back of the graphic 45 Door Knockers for added interest. Once dry I painted the entire pendant with Finnabair Ancient Coin Metallic Paint, I added some Finnabair Light Patina Metallic Paint highlights and then dry brushed again with Ancient Coin paint." ~Joanne
"Have you ever thought of using your scrapbooking supplies in another craft, such as making jewelry? Some of us were challenged to create a jewelry piece using the Staples and or paper from Graphic 45. So today I’ve created a fabulous Vintage Chunky Bracelet using a variety of Staples and the Communique Deluxe Collectors Edition. You’ll want to read the tutorial below and learn how to recreate your own Vintage Chunky Bracelet at home." ~Katelyn
Tip: Mix and match your staples to create different interest on your bracelet.
Tip: When using chipboard pieces, make sure to cover the back of the pieces so that you don’t see raw chipboard.
Tip: Add fussy cut paper images to the keyholes, door pull and keys to dress the pieces up.
