It's a Magical Midnight Masquerade!
Who is excited about Midnight Masquerade hitting stores soon? We certainly are! Today, Magda Cortez and Kathy Clement share show-stopping projects! Take a look at this amazing altered chair and album by Magda:
"Hi All.. I’m so excited with the New Releases, all are awesome!! And the Midnight Mascarade Collection is a breathtaking !! The colors, the images everything is so beautiful.. so it was Love at first sight and I think if I make my Christmas Chair with those papers will be fabulous and it was! I really love the result.. Midnight Mascarade Paper Collection has the elegance to make this chair sooo glamorous.. I imagine the Venetian Chairs with all the jewels and feathers so I add the Swarovski Crystals and the feathers to give the touch I imagine.. Also I add a little mini album to complete the project.. the album goes inside the seat of the chair. Did you like it? I love it! and I hope people like it too when they see it at the New Creativation (CHA) 2017 in Phoenix !! I’m so happy to have my projects at the CHA Booth it is a Dream Come True!
See you soon!"
Tip: Always use a good liquid glue when you make 3D projects it will give more life to your projects.
Kathy invites us to a magical ball with this gorgeous invitation! This looks like a party we'd want to attend!
"What girl hasn’t imagined floating into a masquerade ball in a fabulous gown and then spending the night whirling around the dance floor with one mysterious masked partner after another. It’s the stuff dreams are made of!
With that in mind, I created a fanciful Magical Masquerade Ball Invitation card using fantastical patterns and images from Midnight Masquerade. I could see myself throwing a birthday party for one of our granddaughters with this as the theme. So put on your dancing shoes and meet me in the ballroom. I’ll be the one wearing the beaded mask!" ~Kathy
Tip: I added dimension to my fussy cut masquerade masks by rounding them against the side of a ruler. Then when I attached them to my paper, I glued just the sides.
Tip: Add magic to your card design by making your fussy cut focal image float on a cloud of purple flowers. I rounded the ball gown against the edge of a ruler, then tucked flowers behind and beneath to give the illusion floating. Again, I glued just the edges of the ball gown to the paper layer below.
Tip: Frame your sentiment with an ornate metal label holder to really make it stand out.
Tip: Add a little sparkle with Stickles Stardust glitter glue. I covered the eyes in my fussy cut masks and the centers of the flowers. It’s just enough sparkle to add that bit of glam.
Tip: Two are better than one, especially when you are talking about pockets. I created a simple pocket inside my card by gluing 3 sides of an image to the base. Then I slipped a journaling card inside. The base pocket contains the invitation.
