We've got the most incredible variety of crafts to share with you today including layouts, tags, altered art and more. It's another bittersweet day as we bid a very fond farewell to our Special Projects Designer, the amazing Robin Shakoor. Robin has contributed so much to Graphic 45 over the years and today we're going to pay tribute to her incredible talent. We have cherished every moment with Robin on our team. We know that you G45ers are going to love the gorgeous array of crafts that we're going to share with you today. Please join us in bidding a very fond farewell to Robin on this special day.
From the first time that Robin was our Featured Artist on the Graphic 45 blog it was obvious that she was a gifted papercrafter. Robin went on to be a member of the Graphic 45 Design Team in 2012. Then she became one of our Special Project Designers along with Gloria Stengel in 2013. She has contributed so many gorgeous layouts to our Place in Time calendar tutorial series, along with breathtaking tutorials for cards, tags, altered art and more. Robin's classic style matches perfectly with the vintage-inspired look of Graphic 45. Her crafts exude elegance and joy. As you'll see today, Robin's stunning style is instantly inspiring. We are so grateful to Robin for everything she has done for Graphic 45! Ladies and gentlemen, please join us in celebrating the magnificent talent of the amazing Robin!
I have been fortunate to meet so many new friends through crafting over the years. I have been an avid scrapbooker since February 2008, but I have done crafting and floral design for many years.
We begin with some of Robin's classic layouts from our Place in Time layout series. Here is her December layout that highlights some of the gorgeous uses of our Place in Time collection and Graphic 45 Ornate Metal Label Holders. This LO is so elegant and festive! Robin has such a talent for creating wonderfully balanced backgrounds for her layouts. You can see how beautifully she layered the lovely Place in Time papers. This LO is so much fun to create and it's the perfect way to commemorate your favorite holiday memories!
Here is another classic beautiful layout by Robin. This LO is a true celebration of winter! The beautiful papers from our Place in Time collection help give this LO the perfect vintage look. Pretty paper layers and a stylish banner add so much cheer to this lovely work of art. One of Robin's many talents is knowing exactly how to combine colors to create the perfect artistic statement. This LO is a wonderful example of Robin's amazing eye for coordinating colors in Graphic 45 collections. It's a true celebration!
Our team at Graphic 45 recently taught some classes in Belgium and this is one of the gorgeous projects that we shared. This is Robin's magnificent French Country altered 12x12 Matchbook Box. Robin used the fun coordinating cardstock Flowers and Banners to give this creation added color and dimension. This is a wonderful example of how all the papers and embellishments from French Country effortlessly blend together. Robin has such a talent for creating crafts that may look difficult to create, but they're actually very fun and easy! This was a wonderful class and we couldn't have done it without Robin!
Next we have this stunning Secret Garden altered Small Matchbook Boxes with drawers that Robin created! This was another fabulous project that we taught in Belgium this year. All the wonder and joy of Secret Garden springs to life in this lovely work of art. This is such a fun creation! It can be used as a decorative storage piece or given as a thoughtful handmade gift! Plus it comes with a special surprise, six handmade tags inside the drawers! We loved Robin's use of the Graphic 45 Ornate Metal Keys and Ornate Metal Keyholes. The combination of elegant papers, layered coordinating embellishments and Graphic 45 Staples makes this an exquisite work of art!
Among Robin's many talents is her amazing ability to create beautiful tags. Here is one of her elegant tags that features our collection A Ladies Dairy. This tag definitely brings this marvelous collection to life. Lovely paper layers look incredible with A Ladies' Diary Chipboard, Metal Butterflies and some pretty ribbon. This tag is filled with sophisticated style and charm!
It's been an incredible journey with Robin on our team. We feel so lucky to have had her dazzling talents to help bring Graphic 45 collections to life. She is such a gifted artist and a true friend. We know that her amazing crafts will continue to inspire people for years to come. We can't thank Robin enough for lending her magnificent talents to our team over the years. The 5th day of Christmas celebrates the 5 golden rings. Here is Gloria's gorgeous card that captures all the festive beauty of this special day. Of course the Golden Rings paper from 12 Days of Christmas is just perfect for this amazing card. A few pretty paper layers, lovely ribbon and Graphic 45 Metal Key Holes help make this card a true vintage-inspired treasure! Follow along with Gloria's helpful tips and create your own handmade holiday card for someone you love with 12 Days of Christmas!
Christmas projects are the perfect time to mix you metals! The sparkle and shine of the holiday season is perfect for glitter gold and silver, but also the more vintage metals as I have shown here.
I created visual interest by fussing cutting the large ring and ribbon image from the Golden Rings paper. Then I created a loopy bow out of real ribbon and glued it onto the paper bow.
I decorated the inside of the card with a postage image sticker and a strip from the Joyeux Noel paper. I added a bit of pop by fussing cutting another ring from the Golden Rings paper and attaching it to the inside of the card with a foam square.
Adhesive: Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares; Scotch 3M ATG tape runner; Beacon Fabri-trac; Aleene's Tacky Glue

"My gift today is an exploding candle gift box . I used two sheets of the 12 x 12 Golden Rings paper for this 5th Day of Christmas gift idea and co ordinated it with the plaid side of Swans a Swimming to get the finished effect. The theme is carried onto the candle with five golden rings too. The box is made from chipboard, sections, joined together, painted and then decorated in yellows and greens. I used the festive flower sprays from the corners of the Golden rings paper and some gorgeous green ribbon to give the gift a truly festive feel. Follow along with the video tutorial if you’d like to make one yourself. Have a wonderful Christmas everyone." -Clare
