A Brooch and Earrings with Graphic 45!

Jewelry Brooch, Steampank Debutante, by Elena Olinevich, product by Graphic45, photo2a

We love when our designers create unique projects with G45 - like gorgeous jewelry! Elena Olinevich and Alexandra Morein share amazing ideas including an altered jewelry box, brooch, earrings, and pendant. You will want to wear your Graphic 45 just like these amazing artists! Let's see Elena's brooch and box:

Jewelry Brooch, Steampank Debutante, by Elena Olinevich, product by Graphic45, photo2a

"I have discovered a world of jewelry for myself  not recently. Normally I do not wear any jewelry, but I adore wearing long earings. However I discovered the new jewelry designers and even made some purchases. Several years ago I tried making the beads jewelry, it was a relaxing process. Actually I have never thought of making something from the papers.

But you know what, it is such a fun idea to mix the materials and to create something unique.

Initially I didn’t know exactly what I would like to create, and even some brainstorming didn’t help. But I knew for sure that I need to use Steampunk Debutante for my project. I never had any jewelry of this style.

But then I stumbled on the image of a mannequin with the wings and it has been determined quite fast what I need to create.

I combined fabric and metal flowers in my brooch. I wanted to add a feminine touch to it as well.

However I always imagine that every jewelry piece needs to have a separate case for it.

So I made a box for my brooch from the ATC box.

I covered it with the DIY Craft Papers.

I am sharing some tips on how better to cover the box with the paper. You can check my video tutorial for them.

So what I would suggest to all crafters is to start thinking outside the box, and try to imagine what would made you to be a star and to has your own signature at the same time - jewelry, this is the answer."

We adore these clever and lovely paper earrings from Alexandra using Nature Sketchbook:

Paper Earrings, Nature Sketchbook, Project by Alexandra Morein, Product by Graphic 45, Photo 4

"Paper is a truly amazing and versatile product. We are used to create cards and mini albums with it, but today I want to share something different.

Being on the Graphic 45 design  team is very challenging and once I’ve read the assignment for the current month, I was worries that I cannot make it ☺ But then as usual, you start to work on various ideas in your head, and finally come up with something.

I got the inspiration for making these paper earring from the internet. The technique is pretty basic and very similar to quilling. You roll paper strips to form a circle and then you just push it out from the middle as far as you want, in order to get a desired shape.

In the same way and provided that you make you circles large enough, you can create bowls, fancy shaped boxes, unique party embellishments, home décor items and so on.

The cut outs that I used on the earring are really tiny, since the size of each earring is about 1 3/8” in height. The butterflies and the flowers from the Nature Sketchbook were perfect for this project.

I also managed to create a keychain from the tiny leftovers and a memory frame by Inkessentials." ~Alexandra

Charee's Portrait of a Lady Tour with scrapbook.com

Gloria makes a gorgeous card with this new collection! Take a look:

Portrait-of-Lady-A2-Card-1

Portrait of a Lady is such a lovely, soft, feminine collection! I am excited to see what I can make with it during the coming months! I created a standard A2 card from ivory cardstock and loaded it up with beautiful papers. Rather than add pre-made flowers, I used seam binding to make a fluffy bow, and then I fussy cut some of the flowers from the paper for decoration.

Portrait-of-Lady-A2-Card-2

A few sequins scattered around give the card just a bit of sparkle. I found a faux vintage button in my stash that suited this card perfectly. This is going to be my go-to collection for wedding cards, Mother's Day cards, and birthday cards this year! I added a few bits of paper to decorate the inside.

"The Portrait of a Lady collection is everything that defines grace and beauty.  The pinks and greens of this collection  are so beautiful, and the vintage images so dreamy, well,  I had  to do a layout featuring the elegant lady on the signature page.  You can go wild with flowers on this collection too! Kathy Clement, Maggi Harding, and Clare Charvill have love-themed ideas to inspire your day! First, let's kick it off with inspiration from Kathy

Butterfly Kisses ATC Banner Tutorial, Nature Sketchbook, by Kathy Clement, Photo 2

"How do you spell LOVE?  I used cute Graphic 45 Red Alphabet Banner Tags to spell it out on a fun and festive Butterfly Kisses Banner for Valentine’s Day.  The good news is, this is a super quick and easy project to make.  Just string the tags onto the ribbon that comes in the box, add a few fussy cut butterflies, chipboard tags and borders from the fabulous Nature Sketchbook collection and you are nearly done.  I’ll show you just how simple it is to make in the Snapguide Tutorial below." ~Kathy

Check out How to Graphic 45 Butterfly Kisses Valentine Banner by Kathy Clement on Snapguide.

Tip: When you glue your fussy cut butterflies onto the banner tags, use adhesive only on the body.  This way, you can bend the wings to create dimension and a feeling of flight.

Tip: I added glitter to my butterfly wings for extra shimmer.

Tip: Use dark paper (the reverse side of Plant Kingdom) so that the letters on the tag will really POP.

Love Candy Bucket, Nature Sketchbook, Maggi Harding, Graphic 45 (1)

"Graphic 45's Alpha Banners are really fun to work with and there are a lot of things you can do with them.  I 've used them for cards, tags, banners and even on layouts.  Today I have a Love Candy Bucket to share with you.

To make the banners:

I used the ATC size banners and first glued them onto wooden skewers.  Then I cut a 2.5" x 3" rectangle to go on the back of the tag.  I adhered the rectangle with foam tape that is the same thickness as my skewer and that way it creates a dimensional and shadow effect for the letters.  That looks cool right?  Tie a fun ribbon to the tag and decorate with flowers, fussy cuts and chippies.

For the bucket:

I cut a 3" styrofoam ball in half and glued the two halves  to the bottom of the bucket.  That gave me something to hold my banners.   On the outside I added a felt heart and daisy trim along with a pretty organza ribbon. I cut a little piece from design paper and glue under the ribbon and added a couple flowers.   It is simple, but pretty, and I wanted the banners to take center stage.

Now stab your banner skewers into the styrofoam and fill the bucket with chocolates!  It's a great centerpiece or gift for friends, neighbors, teachers or your sweetie.  You can easily do something like this with any kind of container." ~Maggi
