We always love to see what amazing album ideas our designers come up with next! Well, today, we have two gorgeous album ideas from Elena Olinevich and Maggi Harding. Elena shows you a complete and gorgeous Secret Garden album. Then, Maggi shares how to make a gorgeous album cover from start to finish using our new Rectangle Tag & Pocket Album! Let's take a look at these gorgeous albums:
"I like creating albums, and not mini albums, but something more of a large size.
However it may happen that you’ve run all of your papers and I would like to share some of my tips how to extend the papers and how to create albums.
First try to combine papers for one page and even for one spread. You can decide to use the full sheet for one page, but actually you can use some scraps or leftovers that you’ve gut after cutting a few pages . It’s better if they have the same height, meanwhile you can mix them on a width.
You don’t need to have many of the embellishments if you have such beautiful papers as G45. I highly recommend you to start cutting some images or flowers from them. You don’t need to be addicted to fussy cutting, but actually you can save on adding the fabric or paper flowers.
What I would suggest to make you cut out embellishments not to be plane and to have a dimension - is to use the foam pads or small cardboard pieces to pop up on the background. In that case you will get the layered pieces and they will stand out .
G45 papers are mostly busy, and you can challenge yourself how to mix them so that they could match perfectly.
So - pay attention to the Patterns and Solids Packs. Also you can add some color cardstock pieces, with no busy background.
I like adding die cuts to my projects. Of course , if you don’t have the die cutting machine, you still can create the wonderful things with your scissors or ready die cuts from the same collection. However such kind of dies as frames, scalloped borders are perfect for vintage papers.
If there are cards or tags in the collection, you can cut out the frame and use the inserted part for the other page or even at the same page just putting it aside from the cut frame.
You can even use the pieces with the name of the papers, they all have amazing names.
I hope that my tips were interesting to read and you will fall into the papercrafting as I have done for the past several years." ~Elena

Now, create a stunning album cover with this great tutorial from Maggi!
"I'll be at a retreat later this year and I've asked all the participants to swap a page for my mini with me. Won't that be just so fun and I think I'll have the best mini ever with all that talent in one book from so many people! I used the Times Nouveau DCE for my cover and I think the image of the classy ladies is perfect. I have a "thing" for all the G45 buttons so I've used that as part of my cover too.
I've recorded a video for you of how I made my cover and I'm sharing some inking tips. I'll also show you how to make your cover more durable, line up your letters, and the easy way to glue embellishments so they stay where you want them." ~Maggi
