Introducing our March Guest Desiger Ira Huberts
I'd like to introduce to you our March guest designer Ira Huberts. I am ashamed to say, I should have been doing this all along with our guest designers, but you must check out Ira's blog. You will be awed by her amazing artwork.
Here is what Ira had to say:
My parents got married in 1963 and I was born in 1965. My father is of British/French-Javanese descent and my mother’s Dutch, which makes me a kind of cocktail. In 1970 my sister was born, there’s only the 2 of us left now, since both of our parents died a few years ago. After grammar school I went to university and read English and French and graduated in 1987. I immediately started my “working career”, first as a junior sales manager and later as an export manager. For more than 12 years I sold machinery and equipment (drilling/milling/circle saws etc.) and now I’ve been selling party costumes and accessories for the past few years. For me it’s wonderful to be able to work with new costumes, nice fabrics etc.
Our childhood was an extremely happy one, full of laughter and fun. Both my parents stimulated me ever since I was a little child to use my own brains and be creative, in every way (including how to solve problems). There was always an abundance of paper, clay, markers and coloring books etc. So over the years I tried my hand at various hobbies/crafts, such as knitting, embroidery, doll making, pergamano, stamping, scrapbooking etc. Nowadays I’m in for 3D projects, altered stuff, mixed media and my big passion is history, basically one of the reasons why I’m so extremely fond of the Graphic45 papers. One of my personal sayings is that I should have been born at least a century ago, for starters I’m a huge Jane Austen fan but I also greatly value the period of the French Revolution (would this be the cause of my roots? LOL). Moreover, I love to read (preferably 19th century novels), cooking up a nice meal for family and friends, gardening, shopping (which girl doesn’t?), traveling. I enjoy doing cryptograms etc. etc.
Here is some inspiring work that Ira has done for using Graphic 45 Fashionista papers:
Wow, that shoe is simply amazing!! I have to say that I am wow'd by the talent out there! Ira, these projects are simply fabulous.
