Fairies and Friends: Once Upon a Springtime Crafts By Tracey Locher
Hello Out There In Craft Land!
Happy Thursday to you all! Thank you for stopping by and seeing what's new in the fun world of Graphic 45. Spring is on its way and I'm so excited! I realize that we do have a lot of international readers in the southern hemisphere for whom summer is slowly winding down. No matter where you live, there's a lot of transition going on with the weather right now. These transitional times can sometimes feel tenuous as we leave one extreme (either hot or cold weather) and ease into another. These in between times are glorious opportunities for creative thinking and artistic expression. Transition can help us break out of old routines and look forward to new ideas and goals. It keeps us thinking ahead. With that in mind, we thought we'd bring you some beautiful Once Upon a Springtime crafts by Tracey Locher to help inspire you in this time of change.
I for one have made a personal goal to treat myself to a bouquet of flowers every now and then throughout the spring. I'm always making excuses as to why I shouldn't buy something that will fade away within a week or so. But I also realize that it's really important to treat yourself to something special, even if its small, on a regular basis. This can take many forms, like buying yourself some flowers, taking a couple of hours our of your busy week to spend time making art, taking a leisurely walk on a sunny day, etc. There are so many little ways we can take care of ourselves and it really does help to make us more patient and compassionate in our daily lives. Anyway, enough of my musings on spring and transitions. Lets get to the crafts! Here is a gorgeous layout that Tracey Locher made with Once Upon a Springtime. There are so many amazing textures and wonderful sentiments in this LO. It's just so pretty!
"I just LOVE peek-a-boo layouts that utilize transparency sheets! This is a fun example of a peek-a-boo layout that seems to have “floating” elements." -Tacey Locher

I absolutely adore Tracey's layout! I love how it shimmers and I really love the floating fairies. Love how they seem to flutter around the page. Gorgeous! And her card is just so sweet. The fairy and frog seem to be having a very serious conversation!
