A Very Special Graphic 45 Birthday for Aimee Filimoehala!
Hello G45ers!
Happy Wednesday to you all! We are thrilled that you are joining us on this super special day! Welcome to our grand Graphic 45 birthday celebration for the fabulous Aimee Filimoehala! You all know Aimee as the Director or Operatoins for Graphic 45, which is just as complicated as it sounds! Aimee is the go-to gal for Graphic 45, having worked tirelessly with her mom Diane and sister Charee to build Graphic 45 into the company it is today! Aimee wears so many hats for Graphic 45, we don't even know where to begin! So lets just keep it simple and start by wishing her a very happy birthday! Happy Birthday, Aimee! Today you'll to get to know Aimee with a fun interview as well as some gorgeous birthday-inspired crafts from Nicole Eccles and Gloria Stengel! It's going to be quite the celebration! So put on your party hats and get ready for fun!
First up is this great birthday interview with Aimee. Read all about it!
1. What is your favorite color?
Red, it always has been. I blame it on a pair of red clogs my mom bought me as a baby. I loved those.
2. What sports do you like? (yes, dog shows count)
Being that I grew up a tomboy, I love all sports. I would say my favorite is football. I am a die-hard Steelers fan. Polamalu is my guy. Recently, I have really gotten into dog shows. . . "Best of Show" anyone?
3. What are your favorite movies and/or TV shows?
As for movies, I love anything Wes Anderson. My favorite movie is "The Royal Tennembaums." And for television, I have always been a huge fan of Late Night TV. Growing up it was Johnny Carson, and now my birthday twin Conan O'Brien. Team Coco!
4. What are your favorite books?
Like many women I love Jane Austen. My favorite being Pride and Prejudice.
5. What is your favorite dessert?
Gummies and all things fruity candy.
6. If you were an animal, what animal would you be?
A monkey. I would love to swing through trees. Plus, I would have a phenomenal view.
7. What is your best birthday memory?
On my 8th birthday my oldest brother Ryan, who was a checker at our local grocery store, let me pick out anything that I wanted from the store. I carefully selected a box of Pops cereal, which I rationed for months afterwards.
8. How will Henry (the Graphic 45 mascot wire fox terrier) be celebrating your birthday? :) Oh, and you - how will you be celebrating!?
We are going to get haircuts to look our finest. My birthday will be a full day of celebration. Starting with pedicures with my best friend, Briana and my sister Charee. Followed by Cirque Du Soleil with my boyfriend, John. Then dinner with my closest friends at a delicious vegetarian restaurant. Perfection!
Here are some warm birthday wishes from friends and family at Graphic 45!
"Happy Birthday Aimee! Thanks for all your hard work in keeping Graphic 45 running and keeping the Gummi Bears flowing." -Dustin Sims
"Aimee, you're the best. I hope your birthday is filled with lots of fun, dazzling treats and smiles galore. Here's to another year of Aimee-ness! Hooray!" -Kelly Woessner
"Aimee was born with both feet planted firmly on her own unique path. With enthusiasm and tenacity she has accomplished much with hard-earned wisdom, courage and compassion. I am so proud of her unconditional goodness and how deeply she cares about others. Today we celebrate Aimee and the amazing difference she makes in this world! How lucky (and grateful) I am to be her mother!" -Diane Schultz aka Mom
"A very happy birthday to my boss, best friend and sister. I was born with one of the greatest gifts in life, a best friend. Aimee has always been a loving role model, hard working with a wonderful passion for life. Everything I have learned in life I learned from my big sister. Well, almost everything. Thank you, Aimee, for being the best sister a girl could ask for. Let us eat cake!" -Charee Filimoehala
This first fabulous craft was created by Nicole Eccles. It's a rotating carousel made from our Le Cirque collection! Wow! This creation is so incredible and fun. The details are simply dazzling! But don't take our word for it! Here is what Nicole had to say about the inspiration behind this triumphant work of art!
"The lazy susan carousel that actually spins. This was something I thought up last year right after making the team. At the beginning of the year it was my mission to complete it for this years tryouts, but I don’t think this one will fit in the box to ship this year around!! The finished piece measures approx 14'” high x 12 1/2” wide. Created out of a double layer food carousel, or lazy Susan. The double layer worked out better than I had planned making it extremely easy to create the roof top. Decorated ornately with dozens of tiny mirrors, 100 ‘s of gems and 6 different hand colored carousel animals. Each animal is double sided, both sides have been colored to match, cut out, then adhered together using pop dots. A painted food skewer was then slid between the layers of each animal to create their carousel poles. The center chipboard “post” has been sitting on my desk for a few years now, leftover from industrial cling wrap rolls..just something I knew would come in handy some day and couldn’t throw out! The finished piece probably took me way too long to create, but I am truly pleased with the results! I for see a circus inspired party in the future, and I’m already one step ahead with this interactive centerpiece!" -Nicole Eccles

A Very Happy Birthday Aimee. With a start like the Design Team made, it can't help but be a great day, especially starting out with a pedi! Nicole went WAPY over the top with her beautiful carousel! What a piece of art. I also love the card with its black & white with a touch of color. I'm trying to figure out how I can afford the peonies die cut...I'll manage it out of my budget somehow! Again, congratulations on your Birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I wanted to say that I LOVE your photo from when you were a kiddo. What I love about it is that it's not perfect, head cocked just so, smile just perfect, etc. You were a real little girl, and you had a priceless look. I've always liked candid shots better than posed perfectly, so maybe this is why. I hope that your birthday is fun fun fun.
