"I love the new collection from Graphic 45 - “Old Curiosity Shoppe”. The colours and prints are just beautiful. I decide to do a layout on Diane and myself taken in 2011, I wanted to use a photo from CHA this year but due to camera failure I have lost the photos, which is very disappointing. I used the papers to made a frame to do the focus of the layout in.  Lots of layering and a bit of fussy cutting + chipboard makes for a perfect page. I have done a detailed tutorial for anybody wanting to have a go. I have come to know Diane over the past two years and she has become a very special friend.  We all need to Cherish Treasured Memories and scrapbooking is the perfect way to store those memories for ever." -Jane tregenza

  1. Cut your Race for Timeto 11 inches x 11 inches. Adhere it to the middle of your black cardstock
  2. 4.     Cut your second sheet of cardstock to 10 inches x 10 inches. Don’t forget to ink the edges. Adhered it to the middle of your Race for Time”. Make sure you have the same amount of race for time showing all the way around.

  1. Cut your Exquisite Motif to 9 ¾ x 9 ¾ inches. Ink around the edges and adhere it to your black cardstock. Make sure you have the same amount of black showing all the way around. Add your chipboard corners and brads. The corners just go on the corners of Exquisite Motif print paper.

Photo 3

  1. From your sheet of Parlor Wallyou need to cut out the butterfly frame from the top left corner, and the dragonflies (the ones with the sunflower eyes!). Two of the filigree squares (the one’s with the bumble bees in the middle) and the frame with the peacock feathers, it is in the bottom right corner. You will also need to carefully cut around the blue and terra cotta butterfly from the frame in the bottom right corner (it is the middle and bottom butterflies that you need, not the top one).  You will also need the butterfly with the boot in the middle of it, you need to cut around the butterfly leaving the boot in the middle but removing the boot from the top and bottom of the butterfly.

  1. Mat your two filigree squares with black Bazzill, cut a small square of black to cover the middle of your square so the bees are hidden.  Adhered one to the top of your page, ¼ of an inch in from the side and ¼ down from the top of your page. The second one goes ¼ of an inch in from the side and ¼ of an inch up from the bottom .  Cut a 4 ¼ x 6 ¼ photo mat from our terra cotta cardstock. Cut a second mat 4 ¾ x 6 ¾ from your black cardstock. Adhered the two together and add it to your page.

Photo 5

  1. Cut your Butterfly frame in half though the yellow butterfly Add the top bit to the top filigree square, add the bottom bit to your bottom filigree square (use the photo as a guide).  You will have a gap in the middle, you need to put foam tape in the gap, you will need to put another piece on top of it so it is two foam tape high. Glue your two cut out butterflies – only in the middle and bend their wings up slightly.

Photo 6

10.  I want you to work on your peacock frame; you will attach it once it is finished. Cut your dragonfly piece in half (through the middle of the two sunflowers. Add them to your tag on an angle; use the photo for a guide.  Add your chipboard words.

Photo 7

11.  Use your jewel brad and push your flowers onto it. Make a hole in the middle of your large yellow butterfly and push the flowers and brads though. Lay it on top of your peacock frame in the middle of your dragonflies. Once you are happy with where it is, make a hole and push the brad though the frame.  Bend your yellow butterfly wings up a little bit.

Photo 8

12.  Put a piece of foam tape on the back of your peacock frame at the top and bottom and in the middle. Make sure when you put the frame on top of the other frame, the foam tape will rest the bottom frame.

13.  Add your photo.

Finished at last!
