Ladies and gentleman, say hello to Arlene Cuevas!
"Hi, my name is Arlene and I am a Bay Area native living in the beautiful sunny state of California. I’ve been married to my soul mate for 11 years and together we have 3 handsome little boys– age 10, 8 and 4. I am a Product Manager at an Internet company by day, and an avid crafter by night. I’ve been dabbling in arts and crafts for as long as I can remember, but my love for scrapbooking didn’t bloom until 1995 after a friend invited me to my first crafting party. I began with card making and scrapbook layouts. In 2005, I discovered the wonderful world of Blogger and later YouTube and found it was much more fun to blog and create videos myself instead of merely stalking the wonderful community of crafters who peaked my love of mini-albums, altered art, art journaling and much more. I’ve been honored to design and guest design for several companies in the past few years and it is a crafter’s dream… MY dream… to be sitting on the Graphic 45 2012 Design Team! I am beyond excited and honored at the opportunity to work for the company that hooked me into crafting for good! In my “spare” time when I’m not working or creating in my studio, I love to travel and spend quality time with my family. I’m also an official chocolate and coffee enthusiast – I absolutely cannot live without my 2 evils!"
We can definitely agree with Arlene's love for coffee and chocolate! Yum! At this very moment there is a box of delicious gourmet chocolates here in the Graphic 45 office. We're all trying our best not to eat them all at once. It's quite a challenge. To help destract us from eating all the chocolate lets all watch Arlene's video for her Graphic 45 design team audition! It's lots of fun as she takes you on a tour of the gorgeous projects pictured below.
Here is the fantastic layout that Arlene created using An ABC Primer. You can see how well she uses open spaces and more busy spaces to create dynamic movement in this LO. The embellishments are beautiful and so is her wonderful paper layering! There is such a sweet sentiment to this heart-warming LO!
Next up is this magnificent Tropical Travelogue shadowbox that Arlene created. You can see all of the delicate and meticulous cutting she did to create the gorgeous botanical frame for this shadowbox. Plus she created a wonderful sense of dimension with all the different layers. This piece is so full of love and impeccable style.
Last but not least is this wonderful altered wagon and tag mini album using An ABC Primer. This piece is so much fun! Arlene really captured that old schoolhouse charm in this fabulous creation. Just look at all the wonderful details! So sweet!
We hope you all had fun today! Big thanks to Arlene Cuevas for her stunning projects. We can't wait to see what else she'll create on our team this year! And thank you all for joining us today! Remember to leave us a blog of Facebook comment today for your chance to win A Ladies' Diary! We will have more fabulous inspiration and sneak peeks on tomorrow's blog! We hope to see you then! Have a marvelous day, G45ers!
Happy Papercrafting!
