Wow, such marvelous ideas! Next we've got some wonderful words of inspiration from our design team. We asked them about some of the projects they are excited to create with Bird Song. What sprang to mind when they first saw this exquisite new collection? Here is what they had to say.

Jim, The Gentleman Crafter: "Naturally, with a love of making things 3D from chipboard, the very first thing I thought would be cool was a Pagoda! Call me crazy but, I'm cutting the pieces right now! It just must be done! LOL! A Pagoda with a mini in it! I hope!"

Gloria Stengel: "I want to make a wedding page for my brother's wife. She is of Asian descent and would love a memory of their wedding that she can save for my nephew."

Laura Denison: "This collection screams for cards"

Susan Lui: "I'm going to alter a bird cage. I'm also thinking I might scrap a layout of my daughter or my mum in a cheongsam."

Denise Hahn: "I'm thinking about making an altered an umbrella or fan."

Kristin Wilson: "Cards for sure! But I really would like to decorate 3 jars to go together."

Nicole Eccles: "Shadowboxes and collages as usual hehe. I was also thinking about all the old fashioned asian inspired clothing screens, or even an altered woven wood mat hung like a tapestry."

Jane Tregenza: "I want to do an asian theme jewelry box with a mirror."

Tara Orr: "Fans, hanging lanterns, usual layouts and cards - just love the striking colours on this one!"

Sharon Ngoo: "I was thinking more along the lines of something small....a little lantern perhaps....or a mini album bound with chopsticks!"

Maiko Miwa: " I want to make Japanese paper fan (UCHIWA), and mini umbrella. And of course I want to make a layout for my daughter wearing kimono."

Clare Charvill: "I need to see and feel the papers before deciding on the projects I'd like to make. All I know is that they ll be inspired by the orient"
