Get ready for a creative journey, G45ers! Here is Jane Tregenza's "Feel the Rush" layout and tutorial!

Olde Curiosity Shoppe Layout Graphic 45

Olde curiosity shoppe is proving to be one of my favourite collections from Graphic 45. I love the way it works for male or female photos. The colours are so vibrate and strong and the prints on the paper perfect. You can do so much with the patterns on the papers. Whether you use them as full sheets for cut the up and use them as pieces. It all works so well and the layouts come together beautifully. This layout is one I have done for my Son, the colours on his shirt did not go with the prints from Olde Curiosity Shoppe so I converted his photo to black and white.

Supplies:
Olde Curiosity Shoppe
Mercurial Masterpiece
Olde Curiosity shoppe
Counting down
Race for time
Tim Holtz Book plate
Assorted Brads
Chipboard clocks and title from Imaginarium Designs
Colourbox inks and Smooch Spritz sprays – Silver foil and Vanilla Shimmer

Feel the rush 1

1.       Cut the cream edge from Mercurial Masterpiece, ink around the edges and adhere it your black cardstock

Feel the rush 2

2.       Cut your piece of Counting Down print paper to 10 ¼ inches x 10 ¼ inches and ink around the edges. Adhere it to the middle of your Mercurial Masterpiece.

Feel the rush 3

3.       Cut the border from your Olde Curiosity Shoppe print paper.  Make sure you leave the gold edge on the outside and the yellow edge on the inside attached. It should measure about ¾ of an inch wide. The total measurement is 10 3/8 inches x 10 3/8 inches wide. Cut it in one piece and ink around the edges.

Feel the rush 4

Feel the rush 5

4.       Cut your sheet of Cajun to 10 5/8 inches x 10 5/8 inches wide. Adhere your print paper to it with the same amount of Cajun showing all the way around.  Remove the middle bit of the cardstock so a little bit of the Cajun is showing on the inside as well. The cardstock should measure about 1 inch wide all the way around. Ink around the edges.

Feel the rush 6

5.       Ink your large chipboard clock black and place it on your page. Hook your border over the clock at the top and left side of your page. Tuck the border under the clock on the right and bottom side of your page. Make sure it fits on your page within the border printed on your bottom print paper. Once you are happy with where it is, use foam tape on the top left border corner and bottom left border corner to adhere it to your page. Use flat tape to adhere the border to the right and bottom of your page.

  Feel the rush 7

6.       Cut your first photo mat out of the black cardstock, cut it 5 ¼ inches x 7 ¼ inches. Cut your second mat out of the Cajun cardstock, cut it to 5 ¾ inches x 7 ¾ inches and ink around the edges.  Adhere the two together. Tuck the bottom left corner under your clock and the top left corner over your clock. Mat a piece of optical oddities with black cardstock and tuck it under your photo mat. Once you are happy with your placement, adhere it to your layout.

  Feel the rush 8

7.       Match up your cogs, use the above image as a guide. Some you will need to ink black and some will need to be sprayed with silver spray.  Ink a large chipboard clock brown with distress ink and glue it onto a piece of print paper and cut around the edges. Use a piece of raw chipboard and put it through the sizzix machine to cut out a key and key hole. Ink the key with brown ink. Use distress embossing powder on the key hole and heat it with a heat gun.  Allow the distress powder to cool. Lightly rub your fingers over the key hole and then rub more distress ink over it. Cut a small piece of print paper and glue it under the key hole opening. Use a scrap of print paper and glue your book plate onto it and cut around the edges. Lay all the cog, key, key hole, small clock, and book plate on top of the clock and use brads to attach all the items. Once it is finished glue it onto your layout. Add a brad at the end of the key to attach it to your page.

Feel the rush 9

8.       Ink your title “feel the rush” with distress ink, and spray it with some shimmer spray. Bend it slightly and glue  it onto the large black clock. Use micro brads to hold it to your page.

Finished.

wow. i. want. the. stamps. !!!!!!

Fabulous stamps and beautiful projects!!

So exotically beautiful! I want, i want, i want!!! :)

OMG! This new collection is absolutely just what I need for my Japan scrapbook project!

Loving this new Asian graphic 45 paper.
Can't wait to see all the other goodies that go with them.

LOVE the elegantness of the Bird song paper. The stamps are a MUST HAVE with the cherry blossom tree.

I love those stamps! I love making cads with an Asian flare, but I'm fussy about what I use. Your stamps as well as the paper fit the bill perfectly! I only wish it was easier to find Graphic 45 products in my area. So far, I've only seen them once, and that was the Botanica Bella Collection. It was 15 hours away, and when we went back the next time, it was the same paper. I always ask for it at AC Moore, (the Bangor, Maine store), but they can't get it. All the good stuff like Graphic 45 and Copics are out of district for us.

Love these stamps sets...I'll take all three!!! :)

Wow!! Can't wait for these to come out!

Amazingly gorgeous collection of stamps...can see so many ways to use them! And those layouts, both of them are stunning! I'm always so inspired to see how many different elements/embellishments a great designer can incorporate and still have the photo be the main focal point!!! LOVE that!!!!

whoa ... what awesome ideas!!

Love the cling stamps. They're fabulous designs. :)

The stamps are a perfect complement to the papers. Love it!

Graphic 45! Stop it with your awesome releases! It's not good for my bank account!

Wonderful projects.... as always :)

How can we keep finding enough adjectives to describe these new products? Lots of counting involved,...counting the days until I can buy them and counting the days until I can retire to paper everything I own with them. (My family is not looking forward to that).

The Bird Song collection just keeps getting better!! Love the stamps! The images so fabulous! The layouts were both fantastic, thanks for the wonderful inspiration!

Gorgeous!! Love these stamps!!

What an absolutely stunning collection, I can hardly wait to add the Birdsong collection to my Graphic 45 projects.

I thought nothing would ever beat Botanicabella (I just love that paper), but you have come up with something so gorgeous I can hardly wait to get my hands on it. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Gorgeous stamps! Thanx Sharon & Jane for the beautiful inspiration!

I've got to have these stamps!! They're so awesome!! Loved the layouts ladies! Graphic 45 rocks!!

Two fantastic projects again today. The Bird Song Collection is magic. Can't wait for it to hit the local Scrapbooking store..

Absolutely fabulous stamps! That dragon & peacock are so gorgeous. Wonderful layouts from the DT! Bird Song collection is a must have!

love the Bird Song stamps, beautiful! and great layouts from everyone. thanks for sharing

Oh, how gorgeous! I think this is the perfect line for a tea album I've been wanting to make.

The stamps are exquisite and I can't wait to get my hands on them. They would look fabulous on cards and layouts.

Thanks for sharing the cool layouts from the DT.

How wonderful these stamps are? I just want to use them, how long do we have to wait for their release? I do hope I can win them, it would be fabulous to own these fantastic pieces of art.
Many thanks for this opportunity to win something so phenomenal *smile*
Love ~ Lady Anne x

LOVE these stamps!! I really like the beautiful images and they would look fabulous with the papers!

These stamps are great! Love the way the stamps coordinate with the papers. Thanks for an opportunity to win some.

I love that you included a phoenix as well as a dragon.
So often people forgot how important this creature is to Asian mythology.
This would go fabulously with my dragon and phoenix silks.

I love the new lines of g45 and can't wait to get my hands on the paper. I have such a love for the smell of g45 paper, try it, there is nothing like it. Lanna

Gorgeous projects! Incredible stamp collection!!!!

I am speechless. These stamps have got to be the most beautiful, detailed work I have ever seen. I know I can not get these, but I am so grateful that I won the paper. Thank you so very much.

Awesome stamp set. Now...which one do I get? All of them!

I NEED, I NEEED, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new Bird Song stamps & Paper collection - My mouth is watering just thinking about all the cards & off the page projects I can do!

G45, I don't know how you are going to top this one - Bird Song is perfection!

Graphic 45 . . . how do you do it? Just when you thought collections couldn't possibly get any more beautiful . . . you go and out do yourselves !

Can't wait to get hold of this collection . . . it is quite simply stunning and all I can say is thank you !
