Wasn't that great, G45ers?! We are so excited to see the wonderful creations you'll make with Place in Time! Next up we've got two stunning craft creations that feature our Small Matchbook Box and 5x8 Altered Art Boxes. Clare Charvill and Nicole Eccles have created two very different but very beautiful works of art. First up is Clare's stunning Bird Song altered box and tiny mini album. This was created using our new Small Matchbook Box. It is such a sweet and inspiring project. Clare even provides some fabulous tips for creating one of your own! Take it away, Clare!

It was a lot of fun to work with the new teeny weeny match box Graphic 45 introduced to their staples collection.  As I'm totally in love with the Bird Song paper collection I combined the two and came up with the project below. First I painted the box black and then used mega flakes and a blossom stamp to stamp the oriental looking pattern around the box.  I wanted to make a feature of the opening on the front of the matchbox which I did using a piece of chipboard  painted black and one of the stickers from the collection.  I edged both in dark red art glitter.  Then I lacquered both parts of the box and added an antique metal door pull to each end to open the box with.

Then I made a teeny weeny album to fit inside the matchbox, and using the 8 x 8 paper pad, chipboard pieces and stickers and a few extras decorated the pages and added the tags.

The closure for the album  is a piece of staples ribbon that runs through two holes on the front cover and one on the back, and fastens with a magnet hidden behind the ribbon on the front cover and between the stickers on the ribbon from the back of the album. To finish I added an A from the alphabet sticker sheet, highlighted it with glossy accents, mounted it on black card and attached it to the cover of the album with foam tape.  I hope you have lots of fun making your own a matchbox mini.

Next we have this spooktacular creation by Nicole Eccles that is absolutely perfect for Halloween! This is Halloween home decor at its finest! Using The Graphic 45 5x8 Altered Art Box, Happy Haunting paper and a few fun objects, Nicole created a truly delightful treasure! Here she gives some fun and easy tips on how she created this fabulous project!

"This projects is very simple to make using Graphic 45’s 5x8 Altered art box and a few found objects!!  To get the box to look like a book, just remove the top flap with the windows. Cover the whole thing with G45/Core’dinations core paper and distress using sandpaper and inks.  Paint the sides cream, and use a ruler and fine tip sharpie to create the look of pages on the sides of the box. The whole thing was glued shut, and a drawer was placed in the back to hide your secret candy stash! All the objects used for decorating the top can be found at your local craft store.  The skull is chipboard and was covered with dictionary papers before using.  The crow is made of feathers and can be found in most flower arrangement sections of your craft store.  The frame was a little ornament, and the gem was found in the candle scaping department." -Nicole Eccles
