The theme of my simple creation is "the Blocking Layout". When you use this style it's easy to make a layout. And you can make a layout using many photos.
1. Cut out the center part of the "Man in the Moon" paper. The cutting size is 6x6 inches.
2. Cut the"Jeeper's
Creeper's" paper. The cutting size is 11.25x11.25 inches. Distress
around the paper with the scissors and DTP around the paper with black
ink. Then adhere this on the paper from "instruction1".
3 Cut
5 kinds of the paper that you like or suit your photos. The cutting size
is 2.5x2.5 inches. Cut out the clock pattern from the paper of Pumpkin Time. Then distress and DTP around the edge of the papers.
4. You need to cut the following pieces as shown in the photos below.
5. Crop 5 pieces of your photos. The cutting size is 2.5x2.5 inches.
6. Splatter the background with black acrylic paint.
7. You need the chipboard to use the following pieces as shown in the photo below.
8. Let's make 5 blocks using pieces of cutting papers and chipboard!
9. Adhere 5 blocks and 5 photos on the base . please adhere them with the 3D glue.
10. Adhere pieces of the papers as shown in the photo below.
11. Mark around the paper with black pen like the stitch of a sawing machine.
12. Decorate this layout with the gemstones and flowers.
Wasn't that great, G45ers?! Next we have a delightful piece of Happy Haunting altered art by Tara Orr. Great Halloween home decor doesn't have to be expensive. Just hop on in to your local thrift store or garage sale and find something simple you can alter with Graphic 45 paper and embellishments! You can also find basic little treasures from your local scrapbook store too! That's how Tara found this sweet and simple wooden box. Have fun creating fabulous home decor that will last for many years to come!
"I decided to alter a plain wooden box found at Michaels. I simply
traced the box shape onto my patterned paper, cut out and then applied
using tacky glue. I further embellished using some Graphic 45 tags and
Imaginarium Designs Chipboard which I painted." Tara Orr
.
Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Happy Haunting, Jolly Jack-O-Lantern, Happy Haunting Chipboard 1: Happy Haunting

I love Maikos layout! what a clever idea to highlight lots of photos. You could use this technique with any holiday where you take lots of pics!
Ans as usual, Tara has done a great job of "repurposing". I've seen that box at Michael's, but no inspiration. Now I have it.
Happy Thursday!

This post is very helpful. I have been wondering what the process is in creating these lovely projects. I have been cutting elements out of my pack of paper. Then I will start putting things together. Hopefully, it won't seem so intimidating using this method.

Good idea to use squares to mark out your blocks. Save money by not having to buy a box with wood dividers - and you'd have more room for decorations.

Maiko, your lay-out design is so unique! The patchwork background looks really beautiful. It is a gorgeous page.
And Tara, you did an amazing job on that wood bag too. It has a wonderful vintage feel and your bow is the perfect finishing touch.
