About Linda Cain:

"I always say I started out as a Watercolor Artist. But I’ve been a crafter ever since my grandma and I made a merry-go-round with paper plates and straws.  I loved painting, but when I found Mixed-Media and Altered Art, I found my niche. Paper, glue, stamps, paint, ink.…it all overlaps so wonderfully in what I enjoy. When I first saw the brilliance of Graphic 45 products at CHA they literally blew me away, and that takes a LOT! The way they make colors pop with black, and the deep intensity of the inks in their images is 2nd to none. I love giving classes with their products. I’ve been blessed to be on several design teams, and published a few times, but seeing the smile on a student’s face when they’ve created a project in class is really what makes me happy. Thank you Graphic 45." -Linda Cain

Linda Cain's Blog:

First up is this Bird Song piece. It starts with a paper Mache cabinet with magnetic closings. You open the front to reveal 4 box-type compartments with magnetic closings of their own. When completely fanned out, the background papers show the contrast of all the papers. The back becomes a group of 4 panels for the gorgeous lady and the birds. I've used markers to add shadows and color to some of the papers for even more contrast to these beautiful papers.

This is from the Happy Haunting collection that I of course found totally amazing due to the great colors, fun images and checkered papers. The checks always grab my heart. So here's my take on this fantastic set of papers for Halloween.

Here is one of the latest of my fun creations with Olde Curiosity Shoppe papers. This is a cabinet I found at local store that was just he middle section. I added the bottom pedestal, and the tops are from a laser-cut wooden frame I cut apart and painted. Fussy cutting and markers are used on the bottles and butterflies. Glossy Accents make the butterflies have more dimension and shine. I used a couple of other collections for trim and the checkered backgrounds. But, all in all, this piece is the ultimately gorgeous collection of the Olde Curiosity Shoppe.

This is a cabinet that I decorated that really began my love affair with Graphic 45. Botanicabella is the most gorgeous collection of papers that used brilliant colors and beautiful images of nature. Still love it to this day! It was breathtaking and such a new look when it debuted at CHA.

I LOVE Steampunk. So the idea of making a Steampunk Debutante clock was something I had to do. The papers were perfect and all the little added metal pieces were added carefully so as not to interfere with the moving hands of the clock. Tiny watch parts and gears colored with Alcohol Inks make an added bit of interest along with fussy-cut pieces of paper accented with Glossy Accents.

Here is a wonderful printers tray featuring Hallowe'en in Wonderland. I adore the combination of orange and purple. Throw in some green and it makes it perfection!

It's never too early to start crafting for the holidays! I took the Christmas Emporium papers with me on vacation and began to fussy-cut the pieces. They are just too gorgeous for words and needed to be in a sweet little bookbox as a memory of Christmas past.
