Hello G45ers,
Welcome to another incredible week of inspiration here at Graphic 45! We hope you are all enjoying your Monday! The rain has officially arrived here in Portland, Oregon where the Graphic 45 offices are located. We are now settling in for the long, rainy season. Thank goodness for crafting! It really helps bring some sunshine to the dark autumn and winter months! Today we're going to share some fantastic Happy Haunting crafts that are sure to brighten your day! There is a wonderfully cheerful card by Tara Orr and an adorable treat bag and tutorial by Nicole Eccles! Both of these projects are so lovely. They really display a diverse range of crafts that you can create using Happy Haunting. We also have a brand new blog contest this week! Yes, today is going to be a super day! So lets begin with this week's blog contest!
Behold, this week's marvelous blog prize! You have the chance to win a fantastic Happy Haunting 8x8 paper pad, both coordinating chipboard die-cuts, Chipboard Button Staples, Metal Key Hole Staples and Happy Haunting Cling Stamps! Just leave us a blog or Facebook comment this week for your chance to win! We will choose one random winner from this week's comments and announce them on our blog this Friday, October 19th! Hooray!

This first amazing creation was made by Tara Orr. She combined Happy Haunting and Nutcracker Sweet to create a splendid all-occasions card. This card definitely has some beautiful autumn colors but it is not really holiday specific. A card like this is just the thing to being a smile to the face of a friend of loved one. Tara did an amazing job of layering and distressing lots of papers to create some amazing depth. She also added some adorable chipboards, flowers and other fun embellishments to give this card even more cheer. This is such a fun idea and definitely worth trying! Here is what Tara had to say about this unique work of art.
"I decided to create a project from the Happy Haunting collection that
was not Hallowe'en inspired to show how versatile these beautiful papers
are. I used some of the delicate chipboard leaves from Imaginarium
Designs and accented some coordinating flowers as well. Lots of layers
add to the shabby chic look that I adore so much" -Tara Orr

Next we have these fabulous Happy Haunting treat bags by Nicole Eccles! This is such a clever and fun technique for transferring images onto fabric that has so many uses! These sweet bags are perfect for little Halloween gifts. Use them for candy or other little treats. They'd also be perfect as a Halloween party favor bag! The possibilities are endless! Follow Nicole's great tutorial to create one of your very own! Here is what Nicole had to say about these wonderfully fun treat bags!
"This is a quick and easy little technique for creating unique Halloween
Treat bags. It is also a great way to use up those left over little strips
of paper too! The small canvas bags can be found at any of your local craft stores and
come in a variety of sizes. This technique is also great for transferring
those original photos, or magazine images to fabric. Once you get started you won’t want to stop, creating transfer images for
clothes, hats or purses. Just make sure if your item gets dirty, to hand
wash only!!!" -Nicole Eccles
Supplies:
Graphic 45 Papers:

Halloween Treat Bag Tutorial
Step 1. To get started choose your image you wish to transfer and paint a
heavy coating of Gel Medium directly over the image
Step 2. Place the image face down onto the canvas bag, rubbing firmly into
place. Allow a few hours to dry, or speed up the process with a blow
dryer.
Step 3 & 4 Once dry, use a small mister bottle or your hand to sprinkle
water along the back of the surface and allow to soak in.
Step 5 Once the water has soaked in, use your fingers rubbing in a small
circular motion to gently remove to top layers paper, slowly revealing your
image
Repeat a small addition of water and rubbing to desired effect. But
don’t rub too hard, you can rub right through your transfer image. For protection seal with a thin layer of Gel Medium.
We hope you all had a great time on today's blog. We are so glad you stopped by to see us! We have more fantastic crafts in store for you all week long so please come back and see us again. Huge thanks to Tara Orr and Nicole Eccles for their gorgeous projects today. We hope you all have a delightful Monday. Enjoy all the beauty of this festive season!
Happy Halloween Papercrafting!

Love the card Tara made. Super cute and a great way to show how versatile the line is. Oh and side note I am a native of the amazingly gorgeous north west, who is now stuck in the Las Vegas desert. I so miss the rain and the awesome colors of the leaves in the fall.
