Bamboo Skewer for Card Binding
Next up is another dazzling card by Jim, The Gentleman Crafter. This amazing Bird Song card is full of vibrant color and joy! Here you can see another clever way to bind your cards! Jim explains the idea behind this gorgeous card! Get inspired with his wonderfully unique tips!
The "Many Thanks" card may not look like a card but it actually is...I wanted to do something different so here's what I came up with. The card is bound on the left with a bamboo skewer and paper hinges. On the right, the card is held closed by another bamboo skewer attached with some red twine. The Chinese characters on the front of the card translates to," Many Thanks."
We want to thank you all for joining us on this fabulous Friday. We hope you got inspired for some weekend card-making! Big thanks to Jim, The Gentleman Crafter and Maiko Miwa for their beautiful work today! We will be back on Monday with more gorgeous crafts and a brand new blog contest! We hope to see you then. Have a fantastic Friday and a super weekend!
Happy Papercarfting!

Oh my word! This is so inspiring. And your challenge is right up my alley since I just completed a Vintage Mailbox using Laura Denison's pattern (isn't she talented) and now I am starting to make the internals of the kit. I am making some handmade cards, an address book, and a Post-Its Card holder for my mother-in-law for Christmas!

Yippie!!! I made 3 Bird Song Projects this month already. I'll go post them as October Challenge. I posted them this week after the 1st but wasn't aware of the prize. I'll make many more so that my chances of winning will be better. Yeah for Bird Song, I love it.

Jim's the man!! Happy card making day for tomorrow - is that just in USA?
October challenge looks good but no pennies this month & after September, think i need to improve somewhat before i do another. Am working on friends' mini memory album for their wedding, that's a challenge enough for now.
Never know though, i do have loads to alter.
Enjoy doing:)

Elegant, elegant! I love the bamboo skewer closure on Jim's BirdSong card...so fun. And it looks like he made it with chipboard as opposed to cardstock, which is also very cool.
