She created an absolutely magnificent treasure box by combining the fabulous Bird Song papers and other lovely Graphic 45 embellishments. With such a dynamic range of colors and designs in the Bird Song collection, there's never a shortage of inspiration! This is another fantastic idea that would make a wonderful gift for a friend or loved one! Or create one for yourself as a gorgeous piece of home decor! There are so many ways to create a timeless treasure with Graphic 45 papers and Stapes! Here are some fun tips from Susan on how she created this amazing treasure box!
I wanted to create a Chinese-inspired treasure box and Graphic 45's new
8x8 Matchbook Box and Bird Song collection were the perfect choice for
materials.
I started off by converting the matchbook slip cover into a hinge cover
for the treasure box. I added an acyclic piece to the square opening so
that the treasures inside the box would be safe from the elements and
could still be seen from the outside.
I embellished the box with hand-cut details from the Bird Song papers, as
well as a black ruffled trim from May Arts and flowers and leaves to
form a pretty garden.
Graphic 45's new Antique Metal Door Pull does double duty as a beautiful embellishment as well as a functional pull.
Metal Hinges from Graphic 45 attach the newly-altered cover to the matchbook box, fitting in nicely with the oriental them.
A peek-a-boo of what's inside the box through the looking glass.
Supplies:
Graphic 45 8x8 Matchbook Box
Graphic 45 Bird Song Collection - Bird Song, Harmony, Jasmine Dream, Shanghai Girls
Graphic 45 Staples - Antique Metal Door Pull, Metal Hinge Staples
Graphic 45 Bird Song Chipboard Die Cut 1
May Arts Ribbon
Prima Flowers and other flowers

Beautiful job(s) once again. I'm now inspired to "steal" Sharon's idea of a cookbook - just happen to have all the stuff - LOL. What a wonderful gift for cherished recipes! And Susan's matchbook project is outstanding. I like the clear window to "peek-a-boo" the contents. Thanks for sharing!
Happy Hump Day!

Those are so cool. I would have to have at least 4 recipe books. I am constantly trying new recipes and I don't think one book would hold very many recipes for me.
