Okay, G45ers, it's time for some sunshine! Here is Denise Hahn's incredible calendar page for the month of July! Follow her fun and informative tutorial to create this page for your 2013 calendar. Remember that these calendar pages are meant to perfectly adhere to your Graphic 45 12x12 Easel Album. This July page will go on the reverse side of June's calendar page in the Easel Album. Just flip your June page over and that's where you'll put July! Make sure that the Easel Album's binding is on the top when you adhere your July calendar page to it. The Graphic 45 12x12 Easel Albums contain 7 beautiful Kraftboard pages so they are perfect for creating calendars! You've got your first page for your calendar cover and then 6 Kraftboard pages which you will use on both sides for your calendar pages. So lets get started with Denise's fun and fabulous July tutorial! Take it away, Denise!

TUTORIAL:

Denise Hahn Graphic 45 Place In Time July Tutorial - 01

1- I started out by taking my July Calendar Foundation page and then went ahead and cut out all of the July Cut Aparts and border strips. That way I could play around and decide what I wanted to use.

Denise Hahn Graphic 45 Place In Time July Tutorial - 02

2- I wanted a bold background so I took a doily and sprayed it generously with Clearsnaps Premium Dye Ink in Strawberry

Denise Hahn Graphic 45 Place In Time July Tutorial - 03

3- Then to add some sparkle, I outlined the corners with Martha Stewart Ball Point Glue pen and then sprinkled on some of her glitter in Brownstone-allow to dry fully before you brush away

4- Then highlight the cherries with some Smooch Glitz in Firecracker

Denise Hahn Graphic 45 Place In Time July Tutorial - 05

5- I decided on the cut outs I wanted to use- for the border pieces I snipped the ends into chevrons then inked in alternating colored inks. Chestnut Brown, Peacock and Raspberry all from Clearsnap

Denise Hahn Graphic 45 Place In Time July Tutorial - 06

6- I adhered my doily with some tacky glue- then lay down my focal pieces. The Post Card is adhered right to the page- The Ladies are attached to some medium weight chipboard, inked then adhered. The July Calendar has a small chipboard support piece, then is attached with Scrapbook adhesive 3D Foam Squares.

7- To give my chevron cut borders a little dimension, I fold in about an inch of each edge

Denise Hahn Graphic 45 Place In Time July Tutorial - 08

8- Then fold back- make sure the back fold is small- I don’t want them to stick up too much

Denise Hahn Graphic 45 Place In Time July Tutorial - 09

9- Then apply more 3D squares to the back and put a dab of glue on the flaps

Denise Hahn Graphic 45 Place In Time July Tutorial - 10

10-Flip over and adhere down- I like mine wonky, but you can do your straight if you like

Denise Hahn Graphic 45 Place In Time July Tutorial - 11

11- Set aside your layout and take a few pieces of Cut Aparts that you did not use- flip over to reveal the three patterns on reverse. Cut into 3x3/4  inch pieces and snip into little pennants. Make about 7 of each pattern, ink them all

Denise Hahn Graphic 45 Place In Time July Tutorial - 12

12- Now it gets a little tricky! Put pieces in alternating pattern order then flip over onto reverse side. Put a thin line of glue on the top of each pennant

Denise Hahn Graphic 45 Place In Time July Tutorial - 13

13-Lay twine over the top of the glue lines, then ease into place with a stick or toothpick leaving a little over a half inch in between. Make 2 strands of 5, and one strand of 9. TIP- after you glue them, pick them up and move them a few inches to make sure you didn’t glue them down to your workspace!

14- Cut about 10 inches of red crepe paper and accordion fold. Take the round chipboard piece from Place in Time Chipboard #2 and tie with a small ribbon.

Denise Hahn Graphic 45 Place In Time July Tutorial - 15

15-Flip the chipboard over and add glue to the right half

Denise Hahn Graphic 45 Place In Time July Tutorial - 16

16-Take a scrap piece of chipboard and line your crepe up against it-then lay the glued part of the round piece on top- you will have to play with it a little to get it it just right! Set aside to dry

Denise Hahn Graphic 45 Place In Time July Tutorial - 17

17- I picked four sentiments from the Place in Time stickers and stuck them on some burlap and cut around the edges. TIP add a dab of tacky glue along with the adhesive to make sure the sticker stays secure to the burlap. TIP ink all of your sticker edges so there is no white edge peeking

Denise Hahn Graphic 45 Place In Time July Tutorial - 18

18- Glue them on with tacky glue

19-Go back to your crepe embellishment- and add glitter to the edges. Squeeze some glue out onto some scrap paper, and dip your finger in. Dab along edges of crepe then dip into glitter

Denise Hahn Graphic 45 Place In Time July Tutorial - 20

20-Apply a generous amount of glue the the edge of the ladies and slide the crepe paper embellishment into place

Denise Hahn Graphic 45 Place In Time July Tutorial - 21

21-Add your 9 pennant banner to the top using two metal brads. I also glued them down  with a bit of tacky glue. I added the 5 pennant banner above this one using more of the 3D foam squares.

Denise Hahn Graphic 45 Place In Time July Tutorial - 22

22- I used foam squares here also

Denise Hahn Graphic 45 Place In Time July Tutorial - 23

23-I just couldn’t resist, after I was done I felt July needed more pop, so I added some red glitter with the fine tip glue pen

24- The finished page. I did add a little 4th of July sticker to the Calendar piece
