Supplies:
Graphic 45 Place In Time Paper Collection
Graphic 45 Nutcracker Sweet Paper Collection
Graphic 45 Stamped Metal Brads
Graphic 45 Ornate Metal Keys
Graphic 45 12 x 12 Easel Album
Red Ribbon
Clear and Silver Glitter
Medium Weight Chipboard
Tutorial:
This calendar page doesn’t have a lot of fussy cutting to it which helps cut down on the time to make it. Using a digital cutter, punches and a few dies helps speed up the process for a pretty outcome.
Let’s get started…
Step 1:
Using the Calendar Foundation Page as the base page. I cut the border to the Nutcracker Sweet collection and adhered it to the foundation page.
Step 2:
I then punched the corners of a 12 x 12 page with a Circle 8 cutter for speed and adhered it to the previous base page.
Step 3:
I cut the smaller December calendar from the collection and backed it with covered chipboard piece.
Next I cut the green strip from the A Place In Times December Cut-A -Parts and punched it at the corner with a decorative corner punch. I then adhered the backed calendar to the green Cut-A-Parts patterned paper.
For just a bit more oomph, I punched the red patterned paper around the edges with a decorative punch and adhered the Green patterned paper assemblage to it, leaving the top of the green paper unglued. This will form a pocket later. Last I adhered the whole thing down onto the foundation pages.
Step 4:I used the Sizzix Snowflake Rosette and made two rosettes. I set them aside. I then cut around the Larger “December” from the A Place in Time, December Foundation Page and adhered the two rosettes to the backside to add dimension. I adhered the “December” assemblage right above the calendar.
Step 5:
I cut 2 pieces of patterned paper to 3 x 4-1/2 and scored them down the longer 4-1/2-inch length at 1/2-inch. I then turned the pattern paper horizontally and scored at 1-1/4 and 3-1/4. Next, I cut the left and right 1-1/4 inch pieces off the 1/2-inch bottom score lines. Just for fun I punched the top edge and applied some glitter. Last, I adhered the flaps in the back forming a little pocket.
I cut out one of the border strips from the A Place in Time Cut-A-Parts page as well as the stamps and adhered to the front of the pockets. I then glued the pockets into place on the foundation pages.
I cut the little tags from A Place in Time Cut-A-Parts page and punched holes in the top tag part. I then used some red ribbon and tied it around the Graphic 45 Metal Key and back into the hole. I glued the tails of the ribbon so they would stay upright.
Step 6:
I die cut a final rosette from patterned paper and applied another stamp to the top and adhered it over and to the left of the bottom pocket.
Step 7:
Last I die cut some of the holly pieces from the A Place in Time Cut-A Parts page and glued them next to the calendar.
Optional Step:
Just to dress up the pages I cut more tags from the collection and applied brads to the holes and placed them into the pocket that was made with the green patterned paper above the calendar.
For more fun, I took a second and added glitter to several key pieces.
That’s it! December’s Calendar Page....
