First up is this fun and beautiful Place in Time birthday book by Clare Charvill. It comes with a great video tutorial so you can create one of your very own! This is the perfect idea for a handmade gift when you're on a budget! Why spend a ton of money on a gift when you can DIY with G45!? Handmade gifts can be so heartwarming and personal! Here is what Clare had to say about this super smart work of art!
"This is a project for crafters that really are tied to a budget so all they have to do is buy the papers, settle down with a coffee and their scrap supplies, click onto my channel and follow along to make a lovely gift of project with no additional spending involved. " Clare Charvill
"I've been meaning to create a keepsake with some of my favorite wedding photos. I decided to use a photo tray that was given to me as a gift. The June Cut-Aparts sheet from the Place in Time collection is the perfect compliment to wedding photos, so I used that sheet along with the April Cut-Aparts (I was married in April.) When I create, I don't typically have a "plan." I've been asked many times if I sketch out a project before I create it. The answer is no, I don't. The short answer to how I prepare for a project - "I wing it!" I do, however, gather supplies from my craft room so when I create, I just grab as I go. I created a video showing you how I prepared for this altered project. Included in the video is a "beginning to end" tutorial showing you how this altered photo tray came to life. I hope you give one of these altered projects a try. It's really fun and quite invigorating to see it all come together. Enjoy!" -Arlene Cuevas
Fabulous ideas, please keep them coming! I especially love making books to the birthday book is a true winner for me but all ideas that extend beyond making cards or scrapbooking are fantastic, being able to have such lushness on display 24/7 is just perfect.
