Make a Statement With G45 Altered Art!
Hello G45ers,
Your Monday is about to turn magical with some lavish spring-inspired creations! Today we have two of the most beautiful Secret Garden altered art crafts that are sure to make you smile! Get ready to put some spring in your step! Today's crafts highlight some very unique and imaginative uses of the Graphic 45 Matchbook Boxes! We will share an altered 8x8 Matchbook Box by Susan Lui that's been all dolled up to look like an adorable garden house! Then we will share a magnificent altered 12x12 Matchbook Box by Arlene Cuevas! She's created a breathtaking mixed media fame and layout that are complete with two fun video tutorials! Both of today's creations are just perfect for gifts or dazzling home decor! Get ready for some fun, G45ers, because today's blog is a crafter's dream come true!
Lets begin with this awe-inspiring garden house and layout by Susan Lui! Can you believe that she created this treasure by using the Graphic 45 8x8 Matchbook Box and Secret Garden collection?! What a fresh and clever idea! This astonishing piece overflows with beauty and love! Here is what Susan had to say about how she created this incredible work of art!
"I altered an 8x8 Graphic 45 Staples Matchbook Box and turned it into a garden house complete with a thatched roof and chimney. Lots of fussy-cut details and elements of flowers and resin figurines add to the garden home concept. The layout inside the house is heavily-dimensioned so as to draw the viewer into the house. But the layout looks just as good outside the house as details which were partially hidden inside the shadow box are now clearly visible. The house is designed such that the layouts inside can be changed easily, giving this home decor a new look with each new layout." -Susan Lui
The 8x8 layout that was inside the house looks just as good outside of it.

This is such an amazing way to immortalize your precious photos! We love how Arlene layered Graphic 45 Metal Staples on the cover of this amazing box! The soft colors of Secret Garden look perfect in this mixed media masterpiece! Want to know how it was made? Check out Arlene's two video tutorials that take you through the creative process!
