Graphic 45 Sneak Peeks Day 8: Steampunk Spells

Happy Friday and welcome to the final day of our fabulous Steampunk Spells sneak peeks! Today is all about giving you amazing ideas with some gorgeous Steampunk Spells crafts! We've got two incredible works of altered art and a beautiful card to share with you! All of today's creations were made in Diane Schultz's workshop and they are simply astonishing! We also have more winners to announce from yesterday's "Win It Before You Buy It" contest! Here we have three exquisite creations by Diane. These superb crafts are sure to give you some wonderful ideas on what you'll create with Steampunk Spells!
The new Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells line has the colors and graphics that can change any clock, box, or birdhouse into a steampunk center piece. Steampunk is one of those ‘hard to describe... you know it when you see it’ forms of art! It usually involves reusing odd, often mechanical pieces, in a victorian way. So many objects can turn Steampunk with the right graphics.
Something interesting that you might not know is that the birdhouses used to showcase the Graphic 45 Steampunk line have been used several times before at the Graphic 45 booth. Each season new objects are purchased to be covered along with repurposed favorite pieces! The thing is, the unique altered art technique of covering objects with paper, has the ability to give you complete creative control to turn whatever you want over and over again into something amazing. Graphic 45 understands this and works hard to give you plenty of designs to work your own magic! With the right adhesives you can create a spring birdhouse and then change it again in the fall to get a completely new look! What a great one of a kind gift! Think of the possibilities!
The large birdhouse uses the Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells #4500680 as the base paper. The roof uses Fanciful Floral #4500681 The thin front face of the roof was covered with the ‘Witching Hour’ sticker from the sticker sheet. The base is covered with the border of Steampunk Spells #4500680 and along the edge is the scalloped flower sticker from the Graphic 45 sticker page. The Steampunk Sign comes from the Graphic 45 sticker page along with the black “Witching Hour’ border on the base. The banner that hangs from the top with ribbon comes from the chipboard sheet and was sewn together. 3 flowers were punched out of the Flower sheet, curled and inked. A Graphic 45 metal brad was placed in the center of each flower.
Here is a small birdhouse that's also beaming with color and hypnotic designs! This just goes to show you how Steampunk Spells can turn any ordinary object into a breathtaking work of art!
The
small birdhouse uses Fanciful Floral #4500681as the base paper. The
roof uses Beware #4500690 side B as the base with the postcards hinged
with Graphic 45 hinges on top. The base also uses Beware #4500690 side B
paper and the front of the base is covered with the ‘Witching Hour’
sticker. A tag and card hangs from ribbon. The back displays a ’Love
Potion’ sticker and the roof is edged with the floral scalloped sticker
from the Graphic 45 sticker page.
Here is the super fun handmade card and envelope featuring Steampunk Spells. Just imagine how amazing it would be to receive this gorgeous card as a gift! There are so many ways to create joyful treasures with Steampunk Spells! The
envelope uses Fanciful Floral #4500681 as the base. A postcard sits at
an angle on front with button stickers and flower punch outs. A book of
spells was made from Nevermore #4500685. Cut and glued together, tied at
the spine with back twine. The card uses Clockworks #4500682 side B as
its base and is layered on top with a Lucky Spells postcard. A ticker is
placed on top at an angle.
A
fussy cut of the Steampunk Signature page ‘ladies head and hat’ is
playfully tucked between the two layers at the top along with a cutout
of the crow at the bottom. Flowers were punched out from the Graphic 45
Steampunk sheet, curled and inked and held together with a Graphic 45
brad.
