About Arlene:
My name is Arlene Cuevas and I live in the sunny state of California. I’ve been married for 12 years and have 3 amazing little boys ages 5, 9 and 11. During the day, I’m a Business Operations Manager for an internet company. At night, I’m known as “MyButterflykisses” on various crafting social networks.
I’ve always had a passion for creating since I can remember. When I was young, one could always find me on the dining room table working on a new project!
In 1994, I attended my first craft party. Immediately after, I began dabbling in card-making and scrapbook layouts. I was instantly hooked on paper crafting! I found the scrapbooking community on YouTube in 2008 and grew quite fond of creating mini albums and altered art. I also enjoy stamping, Copic coloring, art journaling, and mixed media. I’m in my element when experimenting with and combining new materials on a project. My strengths play on the ability to layer elements and marry unique products together. You’ll often see this in how I design and layer my cards, scrapbook pages and altered pieces. I enjoy expressing my artistic style with various products and designs. I am an active member of the YouTube community where I share tutorials and "how to's" on my YouTube channel "mybutterflykisses12". I also share projects and tutorials on my blog. I am fortunate to design, and have designed, for several scrapbooking companies including the infamous Graphic 45. A crafter’s dream come true!
