Here we have an adorable Mother Goose
storage drawer made from our Matchbook Boxes! This is another
enchanting creation that would be perfect for a child's room! It would
also make a fantastic gift! The Mother Goose cardstock Flowers look
amazing on top of the box! There are so many ways to craft with Mother Goose
to create your own breathtaking work of art! In fact it is so fun and
easy we have provided directions on how to make this project at home.
Mother Goose Matchbook Drawers
Supplies:
3 8x8 Graphic 45 Matchbook boxes
1 Mother Goose ‘Checkers’
3 Mother Goose ‘A Pocket of Posies’
1 Mother Goose ‘Storytime’
1 Mother Goose ‘Playful Postage’
1 Mother Goose ‘Spot On’
1 Metal Ornate Label Holder
1 Metal Brad
Black Satin Spray Paint, Adhesive
Start by spray painting the G45 Matchbook Boxes black. Hot glue the boxes together with the picture frame of the box facing up on all three boxes. Make a pattern out of scrap paper for the drawer fronts, then cover with G45 red dots paper. Be sure to ink the edges of all the papers used with black. With G45 ‘Storytime’ paper, cut 3 strips of flower decorative trim and glue on front of each drawer. Cut out the words Twinkle, and Little Star, glue to center of drawer front. Adhere the G45 Metal Ornate Label Holder to front of each drawer over the words.
Make a pattern for the side of the drawer set, then cover with G45 ‘A Pocketful of Posies’. Cut out the word strip ‘Mary had a little lamb’ from the G45 ‘Storytime’ sheet and cut in half using one section of the strip on each side. Cut out your choice of postage stamp from G45 ‘Playful Postage’ and adhere over the word strip on each side. For the picture frame on top make a pattern that wraps around the inside frame to cover the edges, then cover with G45 ‘Checkers’. Take a photo and enlarge to 1” larger than the frame size. Secure to heavy cardstock and center to inside of frame and glue in place. Punch out flowers from G45 ‘Mother Goose’ flower cardstock sheet and glue 3 flowers. Glue G45 Metal brads to center of each flower and glue in lower corner of frame.
And now some splendid inspiration from our Design Team! Bohemian Bazaar is one of our newest paper collections and it is full of dazzling colors and hypnotic designs! Here we have two amazing creations that feature this stunning new collection! We begin with this superb upside-down tag by Rhea Freitag! She used the Graphic 45 Regular Tag Album Staples and the gorgeous papers from Bohemian Bazaar to create this sunny work of art! Here is what she had to say about this terrific tag!
"I love the inspiration I received after being given the prompt to create this tag upside down. This simple exercise caused a new way of thinking about how I was going to design my tag. I knew I had to create something with lots of dangles, so I made the upper part of the tag a bit simpler to keep it balanced. The central image was cut out and glued on top of the base paper to create an added layer of dimension. I can’t wait to see how these all look together!" -Rhea
Supplies:
May Arts Ribbons
Score Tape
Distress Ink: Peeled Paint
Next up is a very special creation by Denise Hahn. She took an ordinary mirror and turned it into a dazzling piece of home decor with Bohemian Bazaar! This is a perfect example of the amazing things you can do with this fabulous new paper collection! The finished altered mirror radiates with gorgeous colors and breathtaking designs! It is just perfect for adding cheer to any room of the house! Denise even included some easy instructions on how you could make your own Bohemian Bazaar altered mirror! Take it away, Denise!
"Recently I went on a little thrift store shopping trip on the lookout for something to alter. I came across this wooden mirror. I am pretty sure from the looks of it, that this was someones High School Shop project! I imagine this kid has grown up and moved on and Mom just decided it was time to go! So I have breathed new life into it with some Bohemian Bazaar! Okay so my goal on this project was to practice restraint! Bohemian Bazaar has such vibrant colors and patterns-you don’t need to do too much!" -Denise
Supplies/Instructions:
Cut 2x2 squares from Graphic 45 Bohemian Bazaar 8x8 pad
Lay out on your piece you want to alter
Use a piece of tracing paper to make a template for any curvy edges
Run squares through a Xyron Create A Sticker or Xyron Creative Station
Adhere to piece
I used Scor-Tape and Martha Stewart Fine Glitter to embellish the inside
Attach Petaloo Textured Layers Flowers Amber with Hot Glue

I love the mirror project. I'm waiting for Bohemian Bazaar paper to become available where I live so I can do something similar with a 5 1/2 foot pegged shelf which I will use as a coat rack in the entrance of my condo.
