DIY Ideas For Artist Trading Cards!

Hello G45ers,

Today we're bringing you a very special blog post that's all about the fun and beauty of artist trading cards! ATCs are so enjoyable to create and they are just perfect as gifts, cards, or to string together in a pretty banner! Artist trading cards are miniature works of art about the same size as modern trading cards and are usually small enough to fit inside standard card-collector pockets, sleeves or sheets. Because they are small they are perfect to send through the mail! Did you know that ATCs got their start in the mail art movement in Switzerland? It's true! There are so many fun ways to use ATCs and there are endless ways to make them! We're going to explore some fabulous ideas for Graphic 45 ATCs with a stunning Bohemian Bazaar creation by Nichola Battilana! Then Susan Lui will share 5 marvelous ATCs from various Graphic 45 collections! Get ready for a truly inspiring day, G45ers!

Lets begin with this bright and beautiful ATC by Nichola! She combined Bohemian Bazaar with gorgeous floral embellishments, golden accents and splendid fussy cut elements. The lavish layers and dimension in this ATC make it absolutely breathtaking! Want to create one of your own? Follow along with Nichola's fun video tutorial! Here is what she had to say about this incredible work of art!

"The vibrant colours and patterns of Bohemian Bazaar totally remind me of the beautiful colour palette used in the depictions of Hindu deities. And so, here is an ACT which celebrates the Hindu Goddess Lakshmi through the beautiful papers of Graphic 45." -Nichola

Fabulous!! :))

Only Susan Lui could pack so much beauty into such a small space. I love every single one!

Lovely, but some of them are a little too fat. Would have to stay out of storage pages and be displayed separately. Not that that is bad as they are beautiful.

Very inspiring! I Love ATC's ♥

Oooh such fun today! ATC's are a lot of fun, done pretty quickly and then on to some more! Thanks for sharing these ideas.

So pretty and such a fun size to do. Gotta give it a try. All G45 papers look beautiful in all these configurations.

Great ATC's! These are fun to make and share. I'd really like to make these with the Steampunk Spells paper collection...but I NEED TO WIN the amazing collection first.

These ATCs are amazing! Thank you for the inspiration.

These ATC's are 'Mini Works of Art', absolutely stunning !!

Amazing ATC's and they can be used as gift tags, in a shadow box or as part of a card... Not to mention how splendid they are on their own.

Beautiful ATCs!!! Love them all.

Love all these amazing! projects!

Wow.. Beautiful! What a great idea. Perfect for using your left overs! TFS!

Beautiful. What a wonderful use of these papers. Thank you for sharing.

I like all of them.

These ATCs are so beautiful--and I have both of these paper sets, so I can give them a try OR launch from them into a version of my own. I DO LOVE Graphic 45 and am finding find ways to blend G-45, 7 Gypsies, and Tim Holtz. They all have some common threads of design, philosophy, and beauty---and maybe a call to retrieve our imagination and creativity.
