Hi everyone! I had so fun making this 12 x 12 layout with the the gorgeous new The Twelve Days of Christmas collection . So many beautiful images to cut out so it was hard to choose! Have to make some more lol. Did a lot of fussy cutting and distressed the edges with distress tool and white paint dabber. Also went over all the papers random with pan pastel. Glued on medium weight chipboard. The outside frames is layered 2 times with pop dots. The first layer i cut out the frame with the edge flower and the top frame is just the frame . All is covered with Claudine Hellmuth Multi Matte. Cut a key and glued it on the key hole so it looks like the hey is inside.
I used cheese cloth under the beautiful lady, frame and also in the corners.
Also had to cut out this beautiful swan smelling a flower.
In the corner there is a pearl spray and leaf trim that goes to the top and in the right corner.
Made a frame in the center. Fussy cut out a tag with flowers and and glued it on core`dinations signature light pink paper. Made a tag with Tim Holtz Pediments die on the top.It can be placed 3 different photos here and change them around.
Close up picture of the frame and lady with some pigeons watching it all.
Used hinges on 3 sides to make the tag slide in.
Supplies:
The Twelve Days of Christmas 12 x 12 papers, key and key hole from Graphic 45, score Pall,Medium weigh chipboard,Pan pastel raw umber tint and permanent red tint, Claudine Hellmuth Multi matte, Scotch quick dry glue, white paint dabber, cheese cloth, pop dots, pearl spay, leaf ribbon, and Tim Holtz pediment die.
Here we have another treasure featuring 12 Days of Christmas. Here is Annette's magnificent altered Small Matchbook Box with tag mini album! This incredible creation features some very clever uses of the Graphic 45 Metal Staples. We love how Annette used the Ornate Metal Keys as little legs for this pretty box. Inside you'll find her stunning tag mini album that commemorates the 12 Days of Christmas. This is the perfect idea for a special handmade gift or holiday home decor! Annette even included a fun tutorial on how to create your own tag mini album! Enjoy!
Supplies:
3 x 5 Graphic 45 matchbox
12 x 12 inch “12 Days of Christmas” paper collection
Signature Series cardstock (Dark Green)
Petaloo flowers
Metal File Tabs
Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Ribbon
Tutorial:
(Tutorial for assembly of the accordion album inside the matchbox)
1. Cut two strips of dark green Signature Series cardstock. One at 4 ¼” x 12 and another at 4 ¼” x 5. Score both every 2 ½” to create an accordion. (note: on the 12 inch piece, you will come up with a short panel at the end.) Adhere the two strips together, overlapping the pieces so you have 6 equal panels when folded on the scores.
2. Create a guide to snip off the two top corners of the folded accordion piece. Trace with a pencil.
3. Keeping the accordion piece folded up, snip the corners off with strong scissors.
4. Create another template measuring 2 ¼” x 4 “ and snip the top corners the same way as above. Lay this template over your papers to select and trace out the area you desire. Cut.
5. Ink edges of each cut-out paper with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. Trim elements from the papers such as the number and the phrase that ties in with the image. Adhere to accordion pages, punch holes and add ribbon.
Are you in the holiday spirit now, G45ers? We hope you got some great ideas for your holiday crafting. We will have so much more holiday inspiration featuring 12 Days of Christmas this holiday season on the Graphic 45 blog. We want to thank Susan, Anne and Annette for their amazing work today.
