We begin today's altered art adventure with this wonderfully fun train that Miranda created by altering some ordinary wooden blocks! This piece is definitely a celebration of inventiveness and the fine art of fussy cutting! Every section of this amazing train has its own unique personality. We also love how Miranda added lots of pretty Graphic 45 Metal Staples to give even more vintage charm and sophistication to this stunning work of art! Here is what she had to say about it!
"I have to say that Steampunk Spells is officially my fave G45 paper line thus far (as if I could choose lol). I have just loved working with it! I knew i wanted to make a train as soon as I got this paper in my hands! And it was so easy ya’ll. I just got some little wooden blocks and covered them all with the papers, then went to town decorating! Tons of fussy cutting. The imagery in this line is just spectacular! I pulled in elements from the paper line itself, like light bulbs , bottles, and gears. I had some tiny gears that fit the ones from Fanciful Floral perfectly. You can barely tell they are there. I used a ton of the coordinating chipboards too. I had a blast making it! All of the “carts” are attached with a chain and a closure, so they can be taken apart and moved easily." -Miranda

Next up is this amazing altered roller skate by Denise! She combined the Graphic 45 Small Matchbook Box, pretty Steampunk Spells papers and fun embellishments to create this dazzling treasure! Curiosity and imagination are in full display in this fabulous work of art! Just imagine how fun this would look as a piece of festive home decor or as a handmade gift! When you let your imagination take flight, there is no limit to what you can create! Here is what Denise had to say about this splendid craft.
"As an avid roller skater and derby girl, of course I am drawn to vintage roller skates! Little metal ones like these are inexpensive, fairly easy to come by, and scream Steampunk. A little tip for cutting fussy cutting out our fabulous Steampunk Lady- you will notice the wing to her left is cut off on the printed paper. No problem-just trim it wing like, then trim down the opposite wing to match!" -Denise

Last but certainly not least is this gorgeous Steampunk Spells apothecary by Rhea. This enchanting creation definitely captures the fun-loving spirit of Steampunk Spells. Sweet shadowboxes and printers trays are just perfect for fun creations like this! You can take all sorts of tiny treasures and use them to decorate your project! Bringing altered art to life is so much fun when you're crafting with your favorite Graphic 45 paper collection! Here are some great tips on how Rhea created this brilliant altered treasure! Follow her on a guided video tour of this enchanting work of art. Take it away, Rhea!
"This project evolved from the scraps I had lying on my work room table. I was looking at the Cardstock sticker sheet, when I realized that the small words would fit perfectly on some teeny tiny bottles I had on hand. Before I knew it I was altering bottles like crazy and searching for curious items to add to my apothecary. Inside the bottles I used all kids of fun things like sand, glitter and embossing powder. Once I had a bunch of bottles altered I was on the hunt for something to contain my project. I decided upon a white house shaped shadow box that I had picked up at a garage sale for a dollar. With a coat of black gesso and some scraps of Steampunk Spells paper I was well on my way. To add interest to the project I rooted through all my tiny drawers of junk in order to find lots of bits to add to this eclectic project. I just love how it turned out! This is probably one of my favorite projects to date. I hope that you too will now look at the scraps of paper lying on your work table in a different way, I know I will." -Rhea
