By blending together all the stunning papers and adding lots of gorgeous Metal Staples, Stickers and cardstock embellishments, Rhea created a one-of-a-kind work of art. Just imagine how great this mini would be for Halloween! Here Rhea explains her inspiration behind this magnificent mini. Check out her fun video for more tips and techniques!
"When I found this Tim Holtz Pocket Die at a local craft outlet store, I gained my inspiration for this piece. I just knew I was going to make an envelope book with the new Steampunk Spells line. I also started to conjure up a unique way to bind and embellish my book, thanks to the properties of the trusty envelope. The idea to use pins to hold my binding came from finding one of my very first crafts, a safety pin bracelet made in the 80’s. I added the pins to my envelope before gluing it together. While I was embellishing further, I took advantage of the pocket to use brads to attach various bits of metal and charms. The sealed envelope hides the back of the brads on the inside. To bind my book I simply got crazy weaving with wire. As I twisted and turned my free form binding together I also added more charms, findings and junk. It actually came out quite sturdy. In order to see inside a bit more and get a few more secrets I have also uploaded a You Tube video, enjoy!" -Rhea
