Typography is just perfect for altered art. As you can see in this magnificent altered picture frame that Arlene created, the possibilities for creative inspiration are endless! This gorgeous project is so wonderful for home or office decor. It is also the perfect idea for a heartfelt handmade gift! Having this fabulous frame on your desk on a Monday morning would be such a positive motivator. Here Arlene gives some great tips for how she created this gorgeous work of art. Get inspired to create your own Typography treasure for yourself or someone you love! Take it away, Arlene!

“I wanted to create something inspirational that I could place on my desk - something to remind me, during those stressful work days, to breath and be my best always! The motivational sentiments in the Typography paper collection were perfect for my altered frame! I found this distressed frame on clearance at my local craft store. It’s perfect because it has a worn look already -- no further distress needed! I adhered the “drawer” piece of the small Matchbook Box to the center of the frame to create a “shelf” to place more motivational sayings and knick-knacks. The thought behind the removable spools was for me to “rate” my stress level during my work day --> Green = Doing great & moving forward, Yellow = Need to stop to take some deep breaths, Red = Step away, regroup. The spool that best represents my stress-level at the moment, goes up on the “shelf” as a reminder of how I’m doing. I work a pretty stressful job, so this helps keep me in check! I also LOVE the quote “It’s a good day to have a good day!” That certainly is a driver to have a GREAT day!” -Arlene

What I wouldn't give to actually have a LSS that sells G45 so that I could run my fingers across the papers and smell the ink in them. Online buying is better than nothing but it's not the same as being inspired while walking around a store cradling G45 goodies in your arms close to your heart. Thanks for the chance to win so that if I do I'll be able to touch and smell them for myself. Ahhhh...that would be loverly.
