Ornate Metal Label Holder
Ornate Metal Keys
Here is Olga's step-by-step tutorial on how to create this beautiful lantern. Have fun making this enchanting project, G45ers!
Tutorial:
Lantern.
The lantern may be hanging or tabletop.
The construction of lantern is double-sided, so it may be used on both sides.
(altered scrapbooking)
I looked at tags from a different side. Or, rather, from both sides.
1. I took 3 tags from the Regular Tag Album.
2. I took paper from the Steampunk Spells 8x8 Pad and attached it to one side of my tags.
3. I did embossing and applied ink to the other side of the tags.
4. I cut openings for stained-glass windows in the center of each tag.
5. I achieved stained-glass effect by painting alcohol inks on acetate film.
6. I attached windows using glue first, then brads and attached Antique Metal Door Pull.
7. I secured mini door hinges between tags using brads.
8. This is how it looks from the other side. I covered brad legs with decorative caps.
9. The hinges on the outside should remain loose.
10. Door knob
Using wood stick I made a door knob.
I attached a magnet and decorated it.
11. Now using the door know with magnets I can connect the construction at the point where I did not use brads.
12. You can embellish interior and exterior side of lantern as you wish.
13. I recommend using electronic candle.
It is convenient to keep lantern unfolded till the next event.
